75cl bottle from Traditions en Nord in Cassel and also at Blauwershof in Godewaersvelde. Murky, workaday bière de garde ambrée now subtitled ’vlaams potjebier’ (Flemish potty beer?) and riding the growing traditions of the north eastern France beer belt. Nothing massively distinctive about the taste. madmitch76 (25568) - , Essex, ENGLAND - JAN 3, 2011

Warning! Early amateur rating! Brown beer. Good carbonation. Has an almost geuze like sharpness with a nice malty depth to balance. Was better when fridge cold though.
Bottle. Pours and amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty caramel aroma. Sweetish malty spicy caramel flavor with some yeasty hints. Has a fruity malty spicy caramel finish. yespr (47567) - Copenhagen O, DENMARK - NOV 27, 2008
75 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden orange with a small off-white and bubbly head. Aroma is mild citric and phenolic yeasty. Smooth phenolic and solid acidic with a mild cherry fruity note. Mild lasting phenolic note. Mild yeasty finish with a distinct sourness coming through. Mild off-note of a phenolic kind that disturbs the infection to be really good. jbrus (4988) - Delft, NETHERLANDS - DEC 23, 2007

Very fruity aroma. Amber color, beige head, good lace. Sweet, bitter, fruity, light herbal. Very flavorful, nice balance, pleasant.
[Bottle from Beersofeurope Magic_dave6’s] Aroma of cork, slightly earthy with some vinigary acidity and spice. More cork on the palate, slightly funky with a tart finish. Less nuanced than I had hoped, too heavy on the cork notes but still a nice beer. DonMagi (5593) - bantervile, Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - DEC 10, 2006
was almost out of date by 20 days. Aroma gave straight up age, yeast apple ageness, which i am seriously fond of. Taste was sweetish yeasty fruity with the yeasty oldness and quite possibly one of the best beers iv had this month. Mungo (2470) - Southampton, Hampshire, ENGLAND - MAY 9, 2006
Bottle (from Bitter Virtue, BBE Dec 06). Interesting aroma - wood, earthy malts, leather and tobacco with a little funky yeast. Fairly drinkable body, slightly sweet with a little spice. omhper (25750) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - FEB 27, 2006
Bottled. Hazy nut brown, brief head. Cellary butter aroma. Sweet and sadly corky with notes of red berries. Medium bodied with caramelly malt and low hop rate. Not at all what I was hoping for. rauchbier (3934) - Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, ENGLAND - JAN 25, 2006
Botle conditioned, from Fabeers in York. Hazy amber bronze, moderate white head and gentle condition. Vaguely phenolic and dusty nose with traces of wild yeast and a background of sweet caramel. Slightly iron-tart and dry in the mouth, some gentle smokiness, a pleasant sweetness and a trace of fusty mouldiness. Dry funky finish with some flowery hoppiness and hints of mushroom.
