GBBF Day 2. Cask. Clear deep brown beer, small cream colour head. Palate is light and dry. Mild fine carbonation. Mild and dry dark malts with a mellow tang. Touch of unsweet dark chocolate. Insipid dark fruits. Dry finish. Okay.
Gravity at GBBF 2014. Poured a very dark ruby, with a dense off-white head. Aroma of burnt malt, charcoal and dried fruit. Dark fruit sweetness in the flavour, with some apples and grain. Mouthfeel was fairly thin. Finish was chewy malt, hay and grassy hop.
