2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
UPDATED: DEC 29, 2013 Mid brown, healthy white head. Light aroma of berries and gardenias, White tea and maple syrup. Heavy malt predominates in a sweet taste with a hint of umami. Only slighty bitter at the finish. Astringent aftertaste which comes from nowhere.
Cask @ Booth Wood Inn, Rishworth. Copper with a thin head. Mid malty bitter with a gentle floral character. BlackHaddock (7562) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - SEP 26, 2012
Hand-pulled pint on 22 Sep 2012 during the ’Oakengates Folk and Ale Day’ in the Crown Inn.
Mid-range everything really: brown body, biege head. mini mixed, weak aromas of both malts and fruity hops.
The taste was also neither here or there: just a semi-bland beer going nowhere.
A bit of a disappointment actually: body depth was also Mr Average. mr_h (5839) - Ayr, SCOTLAND - MAY 16, 2012

Cask, handpump, at The Pig’s Summer Beer Festival ’10, at the Pig and Falcon, St Neots, Cambridgeshire. Amber with a sweet malt aroma and taste. Just a touch of sourness. Nice aftertaste of dusty grain, nuts and muesli bar. Some bitterness. Good. RichardGretton (4770) - Leicestershire, ENGLAND - APR 4, 2010

, Leicester. Reddish beer with a hopped, bitter and gently rich aroma. The flavour is hopped, fruity and bitter - quite bready. Overall an average malty, fruity hopped and bitter beer.
Cask, Criterion, Leicester. Copper with an off-white foam. Aromas are light toffee with some nuttiness. Earthy in its hops with some berry notes. Flavours are sweet berries with woody and nutty aspects. Earthy, peppery hops with some grassy notes. Quite fruity and juicy. Dry on the finish. Not bad. imdownthepub (15130) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - OCT 11, 2009
Cask conditioned at Rushden Historical Vehicle Club, Northants. Amber with white head. Pretty standard session type bitter, mid malt, some greenish, fresh hop, dry finish. It’s ok.
