A generous friend shipped me two of this so I could get a taste of what Wisconsin was brewing over the winter months. A typical Potosi release doesn’t swing for the fences but scrambles for a double. A benchmark to use for better versions, the taste and profile are average in almost every way.
Aroma / Appearance - A flat golden base rests underneath a pillar of starchy white head. Grainy lemons, breadcrumbs, and dusty paperback novels pepper the air with hints and promises of what most people would consider "the smell of beer".
Flavor / Palate - Lemon butter, graham crackers, and custard rinse the palate clean. A tangy dryness permeates the transition to a clean basic finish. The residue of pie filling sticks in the mouth. Overall the total profile isn’t flawed but it just lacks anything that makes it more interesting than just something taking up space on local shelves.
12/27/15. 12oz bottle from a mix 12pk from a random store in Geneseo. Clear light golden pour with a small off-white head. Light floral and grassy aroma, cement dust, raw pizza dough. Okay flavor, chalky, bready, crackers, floral. Eh. cbfobes (2885) - Quad Cities, Illinois, USA - DEC 30, 2015
Bottle from mix pack, pours a hazy old with a thin head, aroma has a slight amount of grass and cracker and the flavor is much of the same, light grain on the front end with a slight floral touch in the finish, kind of skunk too, meh bytemesis (8985) - Sunnyvale, California, USA - DEC 29, 2015

On tap @ World of Beers, Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. Average looking yellow pour with faded white head. Slight citrus nose and subtle citrus flavor. Little malt, hops, or yeast to speak of. Super "MEH". Not horrible but very unremarkable. RobertDale (6755) - Lansing, Kansas, USA - OCT 26, 2014

Consumed from Bootle with a lime offered. So might want to scroll past. 6 percent a bit high boost for my liking. Semi Sweet doughy malts. Lime from the lime I chucked in. Soft malts. Bit of herbs and a nutty doughy bread finish. Drinkable. Patrickctenchi (6691) - Cox’s Knob, columbus, Indiana, USA - JUN 25, 2014
Clear gold with a quick white head.
Scent is grain, barley, light fruit.
Taste is barley...a little cornflake, slightly bitter pils, lemon.
Pretty dry...a little stale, but not too bad.
