Nice clean and refreshing Pilsener. Golden in color, clear, minimal head, light sweetness, lightly bitter, light body, Overall I really enjoyed this beer. I’m surprised it isn’t rated much higher.

Not my favorite Potosi beer. Not a fan of pilsner beer in general. Has the pilsner taste. I have a Czech friend who really enjoys. She claims it embodies a true Czech pilsner.

12 ounce bottle from Whole Foods Wauwatosa, 10/22/16. Slightly hazy golden, thin fizzy white head, decent retention. Aroma of grassy hops and mild pale malt. The taste is herbal, grassy hops, mild pale malt. Thin, lingering bitterness, a bit off balance.

12 ounce bottle from Badger Spirits in Janesville, WI, served slightly warmer than fridge temp from a König Pils glass. Moderate white head, quickly diminishing atop a very clear gold body...pleasant light grassy hop aroma, light touches of honey and vanilla...body mostly sweet at the front, some bitterness running throughout and growing nicely towards the finish, which is slightly mineralic, very faintly smoky, and dry...mostly this is a nice malt-heavy experience with the hops definitely playing second fiddle; it is a bit too sweet to make it a favorite, but I’ve drunk quite a bit of it over the past couple of years anyway as it’s typically cheaper than most of the other decent pils I can get around here. Eh, money.

Pale golden to straw in color. Moderate, fairly stable, white head. Grass, plastic and hint of floral hops. A few dots of lace. Fairly sweet in the start, with some corn sugars and hint of pale malt. Moderate bitterness return mid to late swallow. Close, but missing in the clean, crisp malt department. 12/10

12 ounce bottle
A generous friend shipped me two of this so I could get a taste of what Wisconsin was brewing over the winter months. A typical Potosi release doesn’t swing for the fences but scrambles for a double. A benchmark to use for better versions, the taste and profile are average in almost every way.

Aroma / Appearance - A flat golden base rests underneath a pillar of starchy white head. Grainy lemons, breadcrumbs, and dusty paperback novels pepper the air with hints and promises of what most people would consider "the smell of beer".

Flavor / Palate - Lemon butter, graham crackers, and custard rinse the palate clean. A tangy dryness permeates the transition to a clean basic finish. The residue of pie filling sticks in the mouth. Overall the total profile isn’t flawed but it just lacks anything that makes it more interesting than just something taking up space on local shelves.

12/27/15. 12oz bottle from a mix 12pk from a random store in Geneseo. Clear light golden pour with a small off-white head. Light floral and grassy aroma, cement dust, raw pizza dough. Okay flavor, chalky, bready, crackers, floral. Eh.
