COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Roasted malt aromas, medium bodied with chocolate and caramel notes and a medium hop bitterness. Just as the Gandy Dancers used rhythm to build railroads, our porter harmonizes its complex profile for a flavorful experience. Additional Notes: Roasted malt aroma and flavor. Notes of chocolate and caramel. Malty sweetness is balanced with bitterness of black malt. Slight fruity ester character with mild hop aroma. Medium hop bitterness. Medium to full body. Dark brown to black in color with off-white head.

Oh yeah, that is a nice Porter. Mississippi River Porter. Nevermind, it has a locomotive pictured on the bottle.

Caramel, chocolate, vanilla, notes deep brown color. Very good, easy drinking. Clear beer drinkers, this will help you understand that all dark beers are not scarey.

Lovely, lighter porter. Aroma carries light chocolate and bitter. Lovely creamy, maltiness in the mouth with the slightly bitter chocolate coming through.

CanIHave4Beers (4184) - Pouring Bus, Iowa, USA - AUG 30, 2010
Pours a deep brown almost black with a big head. The aroma is lots of chocolate, mild hops with some earthy and floral character in there as well. The flavor is fruity, not in an overbearing way... or even a dominant way, but it’s the first thing that hits you when you taste it. There is plenty of roasty coffee and a lot of nice hop bitterness. There is a mild smokiness to the beer as well. Overall this was the best beer I had on Saturday. This is a world class porter and a crown jewel in the lineup of a very new, but very welcome addition to the Southwest WI brewing scene.

Nice dark brown color, slightly opaque. Soft aroma with mostly sweet notes. Full body with strong crystal malt influence and coffee flavors. Finishes clean for a robust porter.

richlikebeer (838) - Easton, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 3, 2012
This is a surprisingly great porter..dark dark body, nice mocha colored lacing...lots of coffee in both the nose and flavor, combined with some burnt Malta and tailing off to a milk chocolate finish...very smooth body...just good.
