TYpical strong Belgian blond beer. Grainy, fruity and yeasty of course. Has some herbs as well.

Dark maroon color. Caramel, dates, and dark fruit on the nose. Burnt malt, toasted bread in the taste. Roasty!

33cl bottle as Deventer Dubbel from the Poort van Kleef Appearance Amber-red colour, foamy beige head. (2 fingers), some lacing Aroma: Apple syrup (sweet fruity, molasis like), floral hops, caramel -Very nice and powerfull allthough sweet. Taste: Follows the Aroma but much lighter. and much more standard . so i what’s left over is a more standard sweet fruity caramel molasis taste with some spices and licorice notes an a slightly sourness in the finish. thin body, average body Now I wonder what a heavier bodied version of this would bring. Like most Sint Canarus beers it’s very easy going. And i this case I thought they did not get everything out of it after the great aroma.

Moravius (1445) - Berlin, GERMANY - MAR 1, 2014

UPDATED: FEB 26, 2014 Amber-red colour, foamy beige head. Red and dried fruits are prominent in the fruity and floral nose and taste, as are malts and candy cane/brown sugar adding to the sweetness, some bitter hops, a little sour along the tongue, some spiciness and even some liquorice and anise. Quite complex, but relatively thin bodied, sadly, but therefore easily drinkable. Low carbonated.

Deep red-brown with rather large tan head. Intense aroma of baking bread, red fruits, molasses. Full body. Just a little alcohol. Flavor matches although not as intense as aroma. Pretty strongly sweet though, bread and dark fruits. Overall it’s probably a little too sweet and syrupy, but the aroma especially and also the flavors are really good.

Dorqui (2261) - Brescia, ITALY - NOV 29, 2013
Bottled 0,33L. Elegant ruby color, fraught and hazy aspect with good bubbly presence and a creamy head of long duration. Intense reddish fruity and malty aroma, notes of cellar, yeast and stum. Medium prickly taste, enouth malty and medium alcoholic perception, equilibrate and sweet mouth. Good long perception.

Countbeer (6599) - Best of E-Town mit 2 Brauhausen, NETHERLANDS - NOV 10, 2013
Bottle: Served in a shaker: What the fuck is wrong with this beer: massive gusher and when poured out completely, which took ages because of the lively beer and foam, there are loads of yeast sediments in my foam... Anyways, let’s get unto the beer: Medium to bigger sized beige light brown ish foamy head on top of a deep dark hazy to murky brown colored beer. Aromas of carbo gass, malts, nuts, leaves, toast, toffee, autumnal herbs and some berries. Flavours of toffee, raisin, dried prunes, autumnal leaves, bitters, herbs, nuts, toast, spiced, yeast, grains, hint of cacoa, hay toast and some bittersweets. Aftertaste is a mix of bitters, dried prunes, some hay and grass, some yeast and leaves. Low to medium carbo, creamy spiced mouthfeel, medium to lightly fuller bodied and a light creamy texture. Loads of yeast which makes this look like a fucking chocomel! Aside from that irritating gusher, a decent beer.
