Dark reddish brown coloured. Lots of honey in the aroma. The flavour is fruity with heavy sweetness, but also some bitterness. ThomasE (5174) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - MAY 18, 2006
Deep brown beer with a beige head. Malty, caramel and dark fruit sweet aroma with a vague chocolate note. Malty, light chocolate sweet flavor with a notes of dried dark fruit. notalush (5883) - Lakewood, Colorado, USA - JUL 22, 2009
Pours a fizzy, hazy brownish red - aroma of clover honey, a lot of yeasty character, toasted malts, some nutty qualities - full carbonation in the mouth - the flavor lacks character - it’s pretty much just honey and light earthy bitterness - some toasted character and quite a bit of yeastiness - a bit of spiciness and warmth on the back end - kind of chalky in the finish - some caramelized sugars way on the end of the finish - boring, but nice enough. Very dark brown with massive tan head. Aroma of malt, caramel and licorice. Sweetish flavor, with notes of raisins and cinnamon. Interesting, but could be more complex and better balanced. MrChopin (4304) - Baltimore, Maryland, USA - NOV 1, 2009

Murky mahogany, fluffy beige head. Lightly sour, lightly lactic twist on nuts and earthy wood. Very sweet and alcoholic flavor, light pepper accompanies the nut and wood in the dry, overly-carbonated finish. Too sweet and zesty.
11.2oz bottle. This one poured all head. Settled into a deep amber color. Aromas of yeast, licorice, earthy, and some spices. Tastes of chocolate, some dark fruits, licorice, caramel, and spices. Sten (752) - Westerlo, BELGIUM - JUL 16, 2010
Red brown beer with a fluffy white-brownish head. Dry malty aroma. Acidic and sweet chocolate flavour but not overdone. Not Bad. (Bottle 33cl) jrob21 (3722) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - SEP 12, 2010
Bottle back from greensboro. Pour is a muddy brown with some long lasting lace that stays in your glass. Earthy, belgian yeast aroma with a little bit of caramel as well. Flavor reminds me much of a barleywine with some molasses and a syrupy sweetness. Slight cocoa texture and flavor. Rich malty drink here. gunnfryd (14961) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - JUL 10, 2011

11.2 oz bottle. Pours a dark reddish brown with medium creamy head that lingers. Aroma of very sweet caramel malts and toffee. Flavor is sweet and malty, with a smooth finish. Decent!
