Bottle. Reddish beer with a strong fizzy like head. The aroma is plainly hopped, and the flavour is well hopped, caramel and bitter. Overall a very refreshing toffee bitter.

500ml bottle. Clear reddy amber body with short lasting head. Slightly sweet, light figgy aroma. Initial impression of the taste wasnt fantastic but it grows on you somewhat. Light raisin notes and hints of grapefruit.

Bottle that I picked up at a small grocers shop in Potton, Cambs 04-05-09 Pours reddy amber, good clarity, not much of a head. There is a slight woodiness and also tea like flavour to this, nice easy going bitterness. This is a pleasantly tasty beer, that went down very well. A6 A4 F7 P3 Ov13 3.3

50cl bottle from Tescos, Stevenage. Very similar to the Shambles Bitter. Reddish amber coloured with a fast fading white head; malty aroma; sweet caramel flavour wirh a good fruity bitterness, more aromatic than the Shambles. Another good ordinary bitter.

[Gravity cask at Milton Keynes beerfest] A dirty bitter straw flavour. Pretty nasty, this was a bit of a struggle to drink.

Copper with a small white head. Tangerine and some grass in the aroma. Malty flavour, sweet with caramel. Rather bitter finish.

Cask, GBBF 2007. Coppery gold with no head. Nose is hoppy and yeasty with some alcohol and some grassy tones. Mouth is initially hoppy and then the hop fades to give malt sweetness. Some grass in the mouth to give fresh light palate. Quite nice.

Hand pump at the Freshfield. Golden orange pour, soon to go head, quite sweet, some sweetness in the mouth, almost a grapefruit feel to it, pretty good
