COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Berliner weisse. Champagne of the North. The thing of memories. A simple combination of malt, wheat and lactobacillus leads to an ephemeral experience. Sour, yeasty, loads of pomme fruit. Tons of wheaty goodness. Absurdly refreshing. If you want heaven, add raspberry syrup! Refermented in the bottle, because it should be and you deserve it.

Pour on tap at the brewery, hazy golden yellow pour with white head, aroma brought notes of tart lemon, big lactic notes, nice biscuit in there with a hint of yeast, some nice white fruit with peach as well comes through. Taste is a mix of lemon, lactic, white fruit into some yeast, bread, slight biscuit, more tart notes, finishing sour, dry.

I had a line up of Acerbity (regular), pFunke, Kofi, and Wurzig. This was my favorite, actually. Yellow with a hazy, yeasty bottom. A little oregano and herbal funk on the nose, with a bright sour attack and long, yeasty finish. Really cleansing and enjoyable. Bottle #105/200.

Draft at Pour Decisions. Citrus and lemon nose - just a slight sulfur note as well. Really great taste - snappy sour. Light refreshing lemon citrus goodness.

Bottle... This beer rocks!… Lightly-hazed yellow ale with a small, fizzy, white head. The bouquet furnishes lemon peel, citric acidity and a faint cereal grain component. Light to medium-bodied with lively carbonation. Tart, lightly grainy, citric flavor. Tangy, crisp, dry finish that leaves a mildly grainy, wheaty aftertaste. World class Berliner Weisse shipped my way by BVery!

Thanks to bu11zeye for sharing this bottle. Hazy straw color with a white head. The aroma is full of wheat and some fruity tartness - a flavor that sort of smells like Flintstone’s vitamins. The flavor has some light lemon notes as well as some dusty straw, grain and light tartness. Thin mouthfeel and medium carbonation.
