Pours an opaque blood red, almost purple. Aroma is raspberry and horse blanket funk. Holy sour! Tart cherry and sour plums dominate the taste, with a very woody, dry finish.

Dark red color with a small head. Aroma of prunes or dates with some caramel. Tart cherry flavor. Fairly sweet malt. It seems like there’s a bit of Brett dryness after a few sips. Bacterial (2999) - Twin Cities, Minnesota, USA - OCT 11, 2013
Dark reddish brown pour. Slight tan head. Nice complexity and sourness from this one with a dark fruit and tannic finish. Quite good. Steasy66 (1155) - Minnesota, USA - OCT 3, 2013
Deep brown with small tan head. Aroma is dark malt and purple fruit. Vinegar tart with a dry finish and purple fruit. Not bad but not their best. Nuffield (4171) - Roseville, Minnesota, USA - SEP 20, 2013
The ExperimentAle series has had a lot of winners and here is another one. Dark red-brown with a small head, quickly done to a ring. Subtle aroma but a big hit of flavor, first with a straight up sour akin to a vinegar, and then a rich chocolate note sets in. Between these two dominant strains a number of other flavor possibilities spin off, including tobacco, cherry, campfire smoke, and hints of something savory...if body odor can be described as savory (it comes from meat, right?). The smoke builds as it warms. Other than the acidity the palate is lightly oily and smooth. I become less convinced by it the longer I sit with it but it is still excellent. Tap at the brewpub. Reddish brown pour, quite opaque. Vinegar and sour fruit. Crisp and tangy on the tongue. Lots of flavor. Nice.
