It’s sort of a confusing style name to be an Imperial Brown Stout...I’m not sure what to expect. But I very much liked the flavor profile, which has a really marked hop edge on the nose yet beats it down with strong roasted, chocolatey and lightly fruity malts. The palate is softer and slightly thinner than I would like. The alcohol doesn’t reveal itself to me. Dry finish. Well done. Bottle at the brewery. Big thick oily black stout with lots of roasted malts, licorice, and some chocolate. Slick palate.
