3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
650mL bottle, pours a hazy copper with a small white head. Aroma is on the maltier side for a IIPA, with syrupy caramel malts, resinous hops, fresh red fruits, and some citrus fruits. Flavour is extremely fruity and malt-heavy as well, with under-ripe berries, syrupy caramel malts, and then some citrus and resinous hops fight their way to the front. Something doesn’t mesh so well here - the under-ripe berries are quite pronounced and the malts are quite syrupy. The hops aren’t that far forward - perhaps not enough were used to balance the malt? Anywho, it’s decent, but quite flawed. Good local attempt at a IIPA, but needs refinement.
Bomber from BC Liquor stores in North Burnaby. A medium orange amber in color with generous pale head and a faintly citrus nose. Bitter, slightly sweet, citrus note, decent malt balance. 3.6 Kobold (41) - British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 4, 2016
Poured into a snifter...
A stern white frown hovers above a meditative maple amber brooding the beginning of Sol......
Cereals, forsaken, musty honey, dirty pine, and an overwhelmed quiet pineapple skulking about the background. A slow alcohol fire also warms the nasal chambers......
Tongue tip tickling dance of sweetened lemon and lime; lingual ledges curl slightly under a barrage of delicate grapefruit semi-bitter orange..... A drunk molasses infuses the entirety of the taste, and in so doing imparts a creaminess dotted with some spice and flecks of unoffensive ash.

Nice meringue head and crystal copper body. Aroma of dry hops with some sweetness. Good hop flavour with malt hints. No doubt that this is a well made IPA, one of the better ones in the city. Not sure about the world though. Blairgus (4613) - California, USA - JUL 22, 2015
