UPDATED: SEP 7, 2013 Tap. Roasted malt and coffee aroma. Oil black with thin head. Coffee and roasted malt flavor with light licorice. Light astringent finish. Very tasty, full bodied brew - great beer. DrSilverworm (10000) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - NOV 3, 2014
2oz taster on tap, at HopCat Broad Ripple. Very dark brown color, kind of clear around the edges. Minimal ring of off-white head. Leaves good spread of lace, though. Great bigger coffee up front, some dark chocolate, mild roast malt. Moderate bitter taste, light sweet -- a lot less sweet than expected for a sweet stout, a good bit of earthy hops on this guy. Medium plus body. Smooth, kind of chewy lighter carbonation. Lightly crisp, light slick finish. Great milk stout, I’m a fan. b3shine (9260) - Indiana, USA - JUL 3, 2013
Draft to taster. Looks good; black with tan head. Smells and tastes solid; sweet and malty with notes of chocolate. Nice and creamy on the palate. A good stout. Iphonephan (7476) - Jackson Hole/McLean, Virginia, USA - JAN 20, 2014

Tap at "brewery" and served in pint glass: I only had time for a couple but found that was not gonna be an issue since they only had one of their beers on tap, nice guest tap list however (but still disappointing): Jet black hue with a small fading frothy head and spotty lace. The aroma has notes of coffee, charred malt, chocolate, lactic twang, fig and plum, herbal hops, and a earthy yeast esters. The taste starts mildly sweet but a kick of lactic sourness and fruit helps the balance. The finish is bitter with a coffee and hop character. The mouth feel is soft and medium-bodied with a moderate astringent finish. All in all a solid offering, hope to try more of the beers from the new brewer. thedm (6320) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - SEP 21, 2013
This draft brew on nitro from a restaurant poured a medium sized head of foamy finely sized light brown colored bubbles that were very long lasting and left behind a no visible carbonation opaque except at the edges black colored body and an excellent lacing. The weak aroma was brown malt dark chocolate and dark malt. The smooth mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start and at the finish with a lingering roasted malt aftertaste. The good flavor contained notes of roasted malt chocolate and dark malt. A decent one that I would consider buying again. hotstuff (5279) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - MAR 13, 2015
Rated on 9-21-2013 at 800 Degree Three Fires (Fort Wayne, IN) This draft beer has a small tan head that mostly diminishes, opaque black body and spotty lacing. The aroma is roasted, chocolate, malt, and earthy. The flavor is roasted, coffee, chocolate, earthy, and malt. The mouthfeel is silky smooth and this beer is medium bodied. Overall, a very quaffable beer with a nice easy flavor. It is worth trying and a beer I would drink again. queenholly (3623) - South Whitley, Indiana, USA - FEB 17, 2013
