Bottle, 330 ml at home, poured into a snifter. ABV 9% I guess. Came into a bottle with the wrong label on.
Pours a beer is a black on the body, with a tall and thick brown head. Good retention. Medium lacing left on the glass.
Aroma is very hoppy, with citrus fruits, grapefruit, little bit of orange peel and on the back notes of roasted malts can be found.
Taste follows the aroma, lots of citrus, hops, grapefruit and orange. Nice bitterness with long duration. A touch of alcohol too, it surely tastes more than 6%
Medium body, good carbonation. Palate both dry and sticky.
Overall very good, on par with more known beers. A little objection is the more than normal sentiment in the bottle that no matter how careful you pour it, finds it’s way into the glass. MrHangover (4552) - Den Haag, NETHERLANDS - NOV 30, 2013
Bottle. Pours a black beer with a big, frothy tanned head on top. Aroma doesn’t make you expect what the flavors give you. Light grassy and earthy hops with touches of licorice and a touch of booze. The flavor however, blew me away. Big sweet malty touches, full of licorice, molasses. Light hoppy touches in the background, giving it a nice balance. Malts are a bit more in the front of the flavor, making this full bodied and heat to sip. Alcohol is well hidden, long, sticky mouthfeel and very nice sweet finish. Great beer. bierkoning (13352) - La Tropica/Doarp, NETHERLANDS - NOV 24, 2013
Bottle. Deep dark brown color. Licorice and tropical and citrusfruit in the aroma. Firm oily hopbitter flavor with citrus and tropical fruit. Red fruit. Hints of toffee and roast. Slightly alcoholic. Martinus (4601) - Baarle-Nassau, NETHERLANDS - NOV 19, 2013
Brownish black colour, beige head. Hoppy aroma, quite fruity, tropical fruits, citrus, pine, some coffee and roasted malts. Bitter flavour, hops, fruity, hint of milk chocolate. Bitter hoppy finish, quite floral. Very decent for a BIPA, it seems either the style is growing on me, or I’m drinking more examples I like.

Bottle from ABC Beers, Den Haag. Pored a hazy dark brown with a frothy light tan head. The aroma is big grassy hop. The flavour is medium to strong bitter with a grassy nettle liqourice spicy pepper palate. A really superb beer. I liked this a lot. deanso (10132) - Chiang Mai, THAILAND - SEP 30, 2013
