3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: FEB 12, 2013 Rerate: Well, only few months after my original rating, the beer tastes totally different. No vegetables or tobacco, but mostly roasted malts, some coffee and a lot of chocolate. This is actually a very decent imperial stout, although hardly imperial with 8%.
Black beer with quiet big light brown head. Weird aroma of tobacco, boiled vegetables, bitter coffee. Taste is just as weird (tobacco, vegetables, some bitterness and chocolate) and I’m not sure wether I like it or not. I’d probably rate this completely different if I’d taste this again. Ok body and carbo.
Tap at WWF Enschede. Sweet liquroice, earthy, nutty, and very roasty. Pretty sweet, somewhat sticky medium body. sjogro (4999) - The Hague, NETHERLANDS - DEC 24, 2015
Thuis, fles. Gedeeld met Mrk. Dik en verbrand. Zoet stukje houtskool. Backlog from 2015/09/21. mariuspoenari (3179) - The Hague, NETHERLANDS - DEC 13, 2015
Almost opaque brown-dark pour, with a pleasant espresso-coloured head. Smells heavily of lactose and dark cherries, like a cheap oatmeal stout. The taste is sweet and malty, the alcohol being a bit too present. Sweet cherries and dark chocolate can also be detected, as well as vanilla and something I can only identify as artificial sweetener. The aftertaste is medicinal bitter, kind of stinging the tongue.

0,33l fles gedeeld met nikos. Zwart met een caramel schuimkraag. Geur likeur en gebrande mout. Smaak erg bitter, moutbitter afdronk met zout drop. Iets te gebrand MarcoDL (5470) - NETHERLANDS - MAY 23, 2015
Bottle. Black pour, white head. Aroma of licorice, roasted malt and soft wheat. Taste of licorice, sweet coffee, amber malt and a little iron. Bit thin body. Not bad, but not very interesting.

Bottle. Pours near black in color with a tan head. Roasted malts, cold coffee and hints of ashes in aroma. Roasted malty taste with some sweet and bitter chocolatey notes being upfront. Bit of licorice in aftertaste. Smooth and nicely balanced brew on the whole. Alengrin (5884) - BELGIUM - AUG 31, 2014
Heavy stout with light beige head and blackish colour with burgundy hue, hazy. Aroma of caramel, coffee with milk, dates, fried eggs, iron; candi-like sweetish onset, candied fruits, smooth, bit iron, light toasted malts in the finish, low hop bitterness. Lacks personality and bitterness but perfectly enjoyable.

beige head leaves structured lacing. coffee coloured. not so much aroma, slight sulphury, bit boozy, some roasted malts and yeasty. taste of liquorice, bit sweet with a long coffee bitter finish. rather thin mouthfeel, medium carbonation. i liked their other beers more. bottle 33 cl / bbf dec-2015 tricksta_p (5341) - Steenwijk, NETHERLANDS - MAY 28, 2014
UPDATED: SEP 20, 2015 Strong aroma of roasted malts, dark chocolate, coffee, light liqourice. Flavour is roasty, lots of coffee and some chocolate. Could be a bit more thick and deep on the palate, but this is much to my liking. Well done. vipinvelp (4580) - Velp, NETHERLANDS - APR 12, 2014
Quite dark with huge light brown foam head. Bit weak aroma, bit sweet to. Likewise taste, too sweet, not enough bitterness for a stout. (Arnhem 201404)
