COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Prairie Artisan Ales and Evil Twin Brewing have joined forces again on a variation of their first collaboration. The new beer is Barrel-Aged Bible Belt, a 12 percent ABV imperial stout brewed with cacao nibs, chili peppers, coffee and vanilla beans before being aged in Heaven Hill whiskey barrels for between seven and nine months. As the name suggests, the base beer is Bible Belt, a 13 percent imperial stout first released in 2014 that combines Evil Twin’s Even More Jesus imperial stout (12 percent ABV) and the same spices and other adjuncts that are used in Prairie’s Bomb! imperial stout (13 percent ABV.)

Was interesting. Cant believe that its bible belt. Quite different from the regular version. It has smoked character in palate and sweetness. Good and interesting beer. Tobacco in aftertaste. No head.

Everything you want from a BA imperial stout. Super viscous and tons of flavor. Nice heat from the chilis with the balance of the coffee and vanilla.

Wow, like a chocolate muffin drawn in alcohol and spices, vanilla and bourbon, so much good chocolate here, pitch black with a thin brown head, full body, thick and sticky, very sweet, taste again is very intense with cocoa, vanilla, pepper, bourbon...this is a crazy bomb!!!

355 ml bottle at home. Pours an oily black with a quickly disappearing red-brown head. Very dense and intense aroma with loads of coffee and chocolate along with vanilla, whiskey, hazelnuts, toffee, tobacco, spices and earthy notes. Amazing aroma! Full oily, syrupy body with a very soft carbonation, a medium to medium-heavy sweetness, a light to medium bitterness and a hardly noticeable chili spiciness in the back end. Exceptionally well balanced. The flavor is similar to the smell - full of roasted malt with lots of coffee, dark chocolate, light burnt notes, cocoa, vanilla, hazelnuts, whisky, wood and hints of alcohol. Finishes with some residual sweetness and a light roasty bitterness - cocoa, coffee and mild whisky. Superb! Exceptionally well balanced - everything is integrated in exactly the right dose - whiskey, coffee, spices, roasted malt.
