Bomb! is an imperial stout aged on espresso beans, chocolate, vanilla beans, and ancho chile peppers. All the flavors meld to create a truly unique beer. The peppers add just the right amount of heat to compliment the intense coffee and chocolate flavors.

12 ounce bottle from Marini's Empanada House in Katy, Texas. This beer was an unexpected find any quick dinner stop. Pours jet black with very little head. The fermentation was slightly less than I expected and a little less than I typically enjoy. However the combination of coffee, chocolate, vanilla, and chili was outstanding. The flavor was very complex and extremely enjoyable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

appearance: dark brown, almost black, with a thick, creamy-frothy dark tan head that quickly shrinks but leaves a surprising amount of lacing. aroma: rich dark chocolate, hot cocoa, molasses, very strong espresso, molasses, some licorice, malted milk balls, graham cracker, just a hint of chile heat. taste: sweet dark chocolate, vanilla, espresso, molasses, toffee, chicory, and just a bit of peppers underneath. finish: smooth, sweet, rich, slightly dry due to the peppers; alcohol is unbelievably hidden . notes: This is a magic trick of a beer. How do they pack all those flavors in there and still keep them perfectly balanced? How do they make a 13% beer drink like one of half the abv? Wow. Bottle from Sarah for Beerdvent 2015.

Tap @ Basement Beer Bar, Aalborg. Aroma of roasted malt, caramel, dark chocolate, mild coffee, vanilla, cocoa nibs. Black with tan head, fully diminishing. Taste is moderate sweetness and moderate malt bitterness, some chili hotness and alcohol sweetness. Cant taste that this is 13 %! Full body, creamy syrupy texture, soft carb., complex long finish.

Pours a dark brown almost black with some sediment floating around. There is a small khaki head that retains and left a lot of lacing around the glass. The aroma is quite strong. You pick up the chocolate, oak, faint vanilla, alcohol, faint peppers, and dark roasted malts. The taste is oak, chocolate, espresso coffee, and very faint pepper. The alcohol can be detected and there is a long lasting after taste. This beer is a sipper that is quite heavy with low drinkability.

Pours dark, dark dark. Choco-coffee aroma with hints of the vanilla beans, but not the peppers. Flavor is exceptional. Not bitter. Good cold, better as it warms.

Lovely beer to start a new year.
Complete black (surprise surprise) with a creamy beige head. Nice lacing down the sides of the glass. Quite rich and fine intensity in the aroma. Full body and a soft ish carbonation. Ok balance between sweetness and bitterness. A bit oily texture. Complex little devil, but not that much chili. And thats good. Coffee, chocolate, roast and some spices. Well masked alcohol.
