Bomb! is an imperial stout aged on espresso beans, chocolate, vanilla beans, and ancho chile peppers. All the flavors meld to create a truly unique beer. The peppers add just the right amount of heat to compliment the intense coffee and chocolate flavors.

12oz bottle with no date - nose is coffee, the green hot sauce from Mexican restaurant and definite vanilla. So far so good. Was hoping enough heat to make me not care about the vanilla, but its not the case. Very smooth and I get the ancho flavor, but not the heat. For a 65 IBU beer, this is pretty sweet. lot of taste and interesting flavors, but honestly this is overrated. I would have liked this so much more if it had the heat to match the ancho flavor.

OK, its been like 15 minutes since submitted my rating and Im appreciating this more and more. Its 14% and drinks like 9-10% ABV beer. Now that Im used to the flavors, its working pretty well together, but I still want that heat! bumped it up to a 4.0

Lo mximo. Perfecta integracin de cacao, caf, vainilla, chile, regaliz. Impresionante. El desayuno de los campeones. En boca es sedosa. Larga e intensa. El chile va calentando lentamente y la cerveza va creciendo hasta el ltimo trago.

Bottle. Pours black with a minimal beige head. Aroma of chocolate, coffee, and chiles. Sweet flavor with strong chocolate and coffee flavors, with spiciness coming in later. Full bodied with lingering coffee and heat on the palate. Little bit of vanilla sneaking in as well. Nice twist on this stout.

Deep red-brown to black color, brown head. Roasted malt nose, dark chocolate, licorice, wood. Coffee taste, rich roasted malty, chocolate, vanilla, pleasant hint of chili, hidden alcohol. Full body, soft carbonation, oily texture, warming.

Bottle. Black pour with a small ring of tan foam. Vanilla, cocoa, chile, and light roast in the aroma. Taste is a bit of alcohol heat with bitter chocolate, balancing vanilla, trailing spicy chile, and some roast. Clean, almost light mouthfeel given the ABV. High quality,

One of the best stouts with coffee , chocolate , vanilla and a slight hint of heat. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Rich black color with a tan head. Chocolate aroma. Smooth with perfect light carbonation. Chocolate moderate sweetness with light vanilla and chili spice notes. I think they could dial up the vanilla and chili just a bit. Notes: On tap at Aces and Ales 11/20/2016

2015 BJCP Category: 30A Spice/Herb/Vegetable Beer (base style: 20C Imperial Stout)

AROMA: Coffee is most prominent with chocolate/vanilla a close second. Chile is subtle and difficult to distinguish but blends perfectly. Slight alcohol presence. Base brew is obscured by additives. 8/12

APPEARANCE: Opaque inky black. Moderate brown foamy head mostly dissipates. 2/3

FLAVOR: Sweet dark malts immediately along with milk chocolate essence. Coffee emerges on the finish to emphasize the roasted malt and impart slight dry bitterness. Chiles create for a warming sensation in the throat (as does the strong alcohol). Theres a subtle aftertaste of dark fruit. Hops are subtle and exist mostly for balance (slight earthy taste). Flavors all work well together, but palette is not as rich, robust and delectable as I had hoped. 16/20

MOUTHFEEL: Very full-bodied and viscous which is emphasized by low carbonation (maybe a little too low). Texture is soft, smooth and velvety. Alcohol and peppers create for fairly strong warmth, but is complementary to the base palette - not distracting. Taste definitely lingers, but is not cloying. 3/5

OVERALL IMPRESSION: Works extremely well as an SHV, but a little weak as an impy stout. Flavor combination is nice and an impressive brewing feat. 8/10

11/11/16. Draft at Beer Durham. Compared to WootStout from Stone. Even more vanilla in the nose. Mouth has more prominent cocoa and a nice chili afterburn (but it doesn't linger). Very thick mouthfeel. Almost too much going on. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Soy sauce, coffee, roasted malt, cocoa powder. Pours black with a dark tan head that fizzles away leaving a thin film on the surface of the beer. Lighter bodied than I expected. Vanilla, bitter cocoa, a hint of spice, hard candy sweetness, boozy but not as much as I expected. Really good.
