12 oz bottle. (Texas Wine & Spirits) Carlsbad, CA.argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - MAY 11, 2015
Pitch black colour with a tiny light tan ring.
Roasted malt, mild berries, black coffee, mild spices and some bitterness in the aroma.
The flavour is roasted malt, berry bitterness, ashy dryness, coffee, vanilla sweetness and whiskey notes.
Warms almost like hell. And hits hard. 13% is no lie. This is a heavy one.
Draft. Small tan head atop black body with brown edge. Aroma is moderately sweet, espresso, ancho, bittersweet chocolate, light cinnamon, vanilla bean. Taste is sweet, vanilla bean, milk chocolate, some ancho. Medium-full body, some stickiness. Advocate_Ames (625) - Steubenville, Ohio, USA - MAY 10, 2015
Pours dark with a creamy mocha foam head. The aroma is of roasted coffee and sweet malts. There is also a defined pepper presence and chocolate scents. As for flavor it has a nice coffee and chocolate cream taste. I also got a mild spice from the peppers. The bitterness balances well. At first its masked by the sugary malted flavor and comes out more in the finish. Now the finish is very pleasant and nicely done. The alcohol is hidden really good and the lasting taste comes off more roasty, bitter, with a sweetness that fades. Overall this was drinkable, medium in body, and flavorful. This is one of those brews that is surely worth a try. HourGlass13 (849) - North Carolina, USA - MAY 9, 2015
This really is the bomb! Pours a thick dark black, with a brown head. Aroma is coffee, and chocolate. Flavor is espresso , and rich chocolate. Full body very rich yet smooth and easy to drink. The alcohol content is well hidden and nearly undetectable. Beautifully done! ttoadee (1487) - Austin, Texas, USA - MAY 6, 2015
Solid black, like molasses on steroids. A mirage of a coffee colored head. Nose is coffee and coco. Bittersweet, but leaning to the sweet side. Middle is chocolate milk meets the best espresso ever. Where is the alcohol listed on the label? Not on my tongue. Finally, those rumored chilies bring some light smoke, and a touch of heat, to the finish. Don’t have more than one at a time, but try this beer

This is a truly amazing beer! It is a big bold complex stout that would be worthy of mention even without the unique pepper kick on the finish. Somehow the chili flavors work perfectly with this beer for a truly unique and delicious experience.

Pours a solid lack with a t head and lacing. It has an aroma of chilies, chocolate, and some coffee and dark malt. The flavor is chilies and dark malt up front with a dark chocolate and coffee backbone, and a slightly spicy but balanced finish over a heavy body.

12oz bottle pours with a nice dark body that has mahogany colored hues and supports a thin mocha head. The aroma pulses with chocolate and dark roasted coffee goodness with some burnt malts off in the background. The taste delivers an initial pleasing silky flow of milk chocolate that quickly plows into rich velvety dark chocolate and dark roasted coffee. Wow. It gets nectar sweet toward the finish as the booze mingles with molasses and the remaining chocolate and coffee notes. The body is a tad thin but what a great sipper. kamilkoza (4) - POLAND - APR 26, 2015 does not count
UPDATED: MAR 15, 2016 It?s my favourite Imperial Stout I?ve ever drunk. A lot of milk chocolate in taste. It?s high voltage beer, but it?s not disturbing and not felt too much. It?s just awesome beer and I really enjoyed during drinking this masterpiece beer. coachd (806) - Missouri, USA - APR 24, 2015
Aroma contains plenty of dark chocolate, a little less coffee, fresh peppers and a slight tinge of booze. Appearance is a shiny pitch black color. Pours out thick and has less head than any beer I have ever seen. Even as it hits the glass, the foam is nonexistent. Tastes a lot like the aroma, except the pepper flavor is heavier and the coffee only shows up in the aftertaste. Interesting step by step flavor profile of chocolate, then chili peppers, then espresso. No booze burn at all. Not a sipper, alarmingly easy drinking. Palate is surprisingly weak for such a strong thick looking beer. Overall this is an interesting beer and very unique for the style, but not worth the grandiose hype. The palate just ruins it for me.
