COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bomb! is an imperial stout aged on espresso beans, chocolate, vanilla beans, and ancho chile peppers. All the flavors meld to create a truly unique beer. The peppers add just the right amount of heat to compliment the intense coffee and chocolate flavors.

Pours pitch black with a finger of light brown head. Aroma is coffee, dark chocolate, a touch of licorice, and pepper spiciness that stays in my nose longer than the other aromas. Taste is bitter chocolate, roasted malt, and peppers at the end. Bitter and spicy aftertaste. Mouth feel is silky but not as creamy and thick as I was expecting. Overall this is a very good stout but I wouldn’t say it’s worthy of the hype, and in no way is it worthy of the price tag.

Purchased at Liquor Shed in Casper, ~$11. Pours pitch black, small head of tan foam, some lacing. Roasted malt, coffee, vanilla, semi sweet chocolate, cocoa nibs...the aromas eminating from my glass are almost overwhelming! Taste of cocoa nibs and roasted malt way up front. Coffee and vanilla not far behind as is the alcohol. Oooh baby, this is a bad boy. The finish is a bitter sweet thing with lots of warming. I'd be remiss to not mention the heat that the chilies add to the equation. They're responsible for a good heap of the warming going on. Full bodied with medium carbonation. I only rated it the last time I drank it. So glad that it's available locally now so I can rectify a wrong. ;)

Cacao, vainilla, fruto negro, galleta, chili.

A 12 fl. oz. bottle with a Julian bottled on date of 10317, meaning it was bottled on 13th April 2017. Poured into a snifter glass. It was black in colour with a slightly less than one finger brown head that had dissipated to a thin layer and left some spotty lacing. Aromas of roasted malts, coffee, chocolate, vanilla and chili peppers. Tastes similar to the aroma with chocolate and vanilla followed by hints of coffee and chili pepper spice. Creamy, smooth, medium bodied with low carbonation. Overall a very nice and balanced Imperial Stout that I could just keep drinking.

Poco a poco. Nunca llega a molestar.

UPDATED: JAN 1, 2018 New Year’s Eve tasting flight (3 of 3 11:45p) - bottled. Pour a dark rocky head which pretty much disappeared by the time I watched from the kitchen to the living room. Loud carbonation. Smoky peppers aroma. Flavors of Chipotle and and slight vanilla ice cream. Warming lingering on the to tongue. Good body compared to the previous two in tonight's flight. While the palate stays warm, there's no lingering bitterness. Good stuff!

Tiefschwarz mit relativ wenig Schaum. Sehr malzig, reichlich Röstaromen, dunkle Schokolade, Vanille, im Abgang etwas scharf, ölig.

Bottle. Dark coffee, vanilla in aroma. Sweet milk chocolate, nice medium bitterness, slight hotness from chili, but very delicate. Well balanced, great beer
