COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bomb! is an imperial stout aged on espresso beans, chocolate, vanilla beans, and ancho chile peppers. All the flavors meld to create a truly unique beer. The peppers add just the right amount of heat to compliment the intense coffee and chocolate flavors.

Prairie Bomb! pours pitch black, and has a decent dark tan head. The head lingers nicely. The aroma is amazingly complex and layered: vanilla, cocoa, big coffe notes, roasted malts, a woody, oaky characteristic, a slight burn of alcohol when I breathe deep, and a very mild chili peppers. It’s rather viscous, a bit slick on the tongue. It’s a very full body. The taste follows the nose nicely. Coffe is prominent, and chilis are just barely there, but it works wonderfully that way. Just a great, great stout.

Dark, it’s a stout! First thing you really notice is a heavy syrupy chocolate nose, a little background espresso and roast. Longer sniffing bears out a hint of chili spice. Sweet and full up front, yielding to a surprisingly modest body on the tongue. Initial flavors are chocolate and caramelized malts, coffee follows, and the chili is just a hint lingering in the finish. Oily coating in the mouth. Bit of an acrid black patent malt at the end. This is really heavy, a 6 oz pour would be enough!

Pours very dark brown, with a nice tan head. Aroma of chili peppers. Taste is rich and complex, with notes of peppers, malts, and chocolate. The pepper taste is a bit too much for my preference. Thumbs up.

Ar: Deep raisin, char, and coffee; chocolate and roasted cherries. Ap: Black and opaque; very small tan head with low retention, leaves a thin ring of bubbles and a super-thin haze of covering. T: Coffee and cocoa, deeply rich; malt balls, milk chocolate; strong green pepper note, fairly astringent; medium-high sweetness; clean alcohol warmth; bitterness is medium-high, very herbal and woody; coffee acidity; ash, booze, and coffee linger through the finish. P: Medium-full body with high carbonation, a bit too high; finish is dry. O: There are some really great flavors here, but the coffee and green pepper are fairly harsh, and made more harsh by the firm alcohol flavor; the carbonation comes across as a bit too high and creates an acidic profile.

The roundest, lumpiest, sluggish palette, with no discernible head. If it were an animal it would be a dugong; a beautiful, delicious dugong ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Pitch black beer with small, creamy, beige head. Aroma of chocolate, vanilla, green peppers, roasty, with notes of coffee - very complex and balanced aroma. Taste is medium to heavy sweet and medium bitter, milk and dark chocolate, roasted coffee, vanilla, light cocoa. Roasty and spicy finish with notes of peppers. Close to full body, oily, with soft carbonation. All flavours work together very well, great balance. Awesome!

Sample at MBCC 2017. Smell off coffee, dark malts and chocolate. Similar taste. Sweet. Well hidden ABV. Smooth and creamy mouthfeel. Very nice!

Flaska från Boxbeers. Drucken rumstempererad.
