Bottle split with Sarah at home. Picked up from Bierhalle Deconinck. Bright translucent yellow golden coloured pour with a lasting white frothy head. Aroma is big funky brett c, horsey, little plastic, soft juicy fruits, pineapple and mango, apricot. Flavour is composed of clean base malts, pils, straw, juicy floral citrus, funky juicy brett, plastic hockey puck. Tangy pineapple. Bottle, 1 pint 9oz. Home. A pale yellow hazy beer with a big white foamy head ; good retention. Fruits (lemon, grapefruit, lime, tropical fruits), herbs, hay. Medium dry bitter last refreshing, light sweet. Medium body, average texture, good carbonation, fruity herbal refreshing dry finish. Overall, a really good herbal fruity bitter beer ; refreshing.

Yellow hazy, huge beige head. Smell of funk, spices, citrus hops, stable, light malts, all in all quite complex. Light sweet, funk up front, citrus hops, a pletora of spices, bone dry, musty brett, fruity yeast. Alot of amazing layers! Moderate bitter, zesty and spicy tail. An superb saison!
Super hazy golden honey glow with a thick, dense, three centimetre tall head that leaves a decent lace. Aroma of dry malt, wheat, flowers, grass, herbs and quite a bit of coriander seed - pungent. Light to Medium-bodied; Strong grassy and very herbal flavours with a very dry finish, showing some coriander seed and a touch of curacao. Aftertaste is all dry with a little hop character, some super mild sweetness and a lot of flowers and herbs. Overall, a good saison for sure, one that’s dry and shows the right complexity, but for the price, a decent beer at best and there are better beers in the style for MUCH cheaper without any hype. Bianca velata con un bel cappello di schiuma bianca, non compatto ma abbastanza grossolano, sgranati. Aroma di lievito saison, che sinsprigiona. Sentori di cantina, mela verde acerba, acidità da uva spina, unnpo’ di paglia e riminescenze di pompelmo rosa. Naso unnpo’ tenue, ma elegantissimo e complesso. Imbocco dolce con miele millefiori in prima linea, leggera nota lattico, lattosio, qualcosa tipo yogurt dolce con la frutta a polpa gialla che emerge. Anche l’uva spina, in sotto fondo, emerge e si fa apprezzare. L’acidità pulisce bene la bocca, anche se magari manca di frizzantezza. È oleosa, quasi pastosa, liscia. Pours a very cloudy, bright golden yellow color with a 2.5 finger frothy white head that very slowly settles into a lasting cap/ring. Very bubbly and has good retention with streaks of soapy lacing left behind. Possibly over carbonated with tight bubbles forming around the head and item taking a long time to settle.
Earthy aroma with funky farmhouse yeast and a strong musty brett presence that dominates the nose. Barnyard must with grass, straw and funky bugs followed by vinous and light fruit notes, pale malt and citrus hops. The brett and saison yeast is complimented by a complex hop profile that gives off hints of earthy grass and pine as well as some sweet tropical and citrus fruit notes. Slightly lactic amd I’m also picking up a strong bread/biscuit character as well as some light fruit as it warms. The nose on this beer is very complex with a lot of different things going in, not just farmhouse funk. The best way to describe it is that is smells like a hoppy wild wheat beer/saison hybrid with a touch of white wine.
Fuller bodied than expected with tight carbonation up front as well as strong zesty spice and earthy hop flavors that linger over the other notes into a bone dry finish. Dry, earthy and bitter up front with peppery spice, earthy resinous hops and musty bugs followed by funky saison yeast, bread, biscuit and light fruit. Lots sticky, oily hop flavor up front with pine needle, grass and spruce tip along with a very prominent dry, musty brett character that’s faintly countered by sweet citrus/tropical fruit, bread, biscuit, apple and pear. A bit one dimensional with all of the dryness from the hops and brett but there is subtle sweetness and a strong bready yeast component balancing things out. Some pineapple and grapefruit hop flavor buried underneath but overall, this beer is just a bit too dry/one note for my preference. Complex for sure, but the dry hops and brett and prominent bready yeast notes overpower almost everything else.
