COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Pirate bomb is our beer Prairie Bomb! aged in rum casks. The flavor from the casks helps impart more vanilla and coconut flavors to the beer while helping to add more body and smoothness to the already explosive and expressive flavors of Bomb!

Bottle. Big burned chocolate, great chili, smoke, vanilla, rust. Black, low brown head. Old dark chocolate, vanilla, cigar tobacco, dusty oxidized malt. Hop bitterness, chili burn. Medium full, light sticky. Weird.

UPDATED: JUL 26, 2016 Bottle from a trade with sneakychi, many thanks! Pitch black color with dark beige head. Aroma is chili, vanilla, black chocolate, cherry, coffee. Taste is vanilla, black chocolate, chili catch, espresso. Slightly hot finish, low carbonation. Full-bodied. Complex. A true bomb. The hotness is really well-balanced, it’s got the slight tickle.

This was poured into a snifter. The appearance was a dark brown close to black color with a quickly dissipating white to off white foamy head that quickly dissipated. The aroma had the big boozy goodness of the rum up front. Delicate woody to chocolate underneath. Sly vanilla. Subtle cinnamon. The flavor wraps all of the flavors of the aroma together. Cinnamon and vanilla bounce together in the aftertaste and departs nicely with a semi-sweet/spicy finish. On the palate, this one sat about a medium on the body with a nice sipping quality about it. Spices hit nicely, not too harsh. Overall, loved it, but not exactly sure why I had it this time of the year. Would love to have it again but preferably in Winter.

Aroma is so good, ridiculous chocolate and vanilla, coconut, coffee, slight pepper, just ridiculously good. Appearance is black, light brown head, poured slightly thin. Taste is creamy chocolate, vanilla, coconut, rum, coffee, barrel, some booze, overall ridiculous. Mouthfeel is heavy body, very very light carbonation, chocolate vanilla coffee aftertaste with a slight heat. Overall, this one is so so good.

Pitch black. Coffee, coconut, vanilla, chili and rum aromas. Taste is chocolate, coconut, chili, vanilla and rum. A bit heavy on the alcohol taste/finish. Chili heat slowly builds up during the tasting. Prefer the regular Bomb!

Slick little beer. Jet black pour. Seemed boost with coffee and coconut. Taste was nice balance of sweet, heat, and a tad of alcohol. Choco, vanilla, chile, coconut, rum. Smooth mouthfeel. Yum.

Tap [email protected] Beer Celebration 2016, Copenhagen - black with a tan head. Dark roasted malty aroma and taste, with chocolate, some coffee, caramel, some great coconut notes, massive rum prominence, roasted finish. Gorgeous.

Pours all black with a tan head. Very green pepper on the nose. Very chili without the burn. Slight chocolate, slight licorice but not much rum barrel. Mouthfeel if light to medium carbonation and the aftertaste is lingering chiles with cold press coffee and dark chocolate. Green nose, green taste. Not so much of a keeper. Drink fresh is my personale verdict.
