12 ounce bottle into snifter, bottled on 2/18/2016. Pours dense pitch black color with a minimal foamy tan head that reduces to a thin ring of lace pretty quickly. Minimal spotty lacing clings to the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of huge dark chocolate, cocoa, dark roasted coffee, fudge, toffee, vanilla, molasses, cinnamon, clove, rum, oak, toasted coconut, chili pepper, light dark fruit/char, and roast/oak earthiness. Incredible aromas with fantastic complexity and balance of dark/roasted malt, coffee/vanilla/pepper spice, and rum barrel notes; with great strength. Taste of huge dark chocolate, cocoa, dark roasted coffee, fudge, toffee, vanilla, molasses, cinnamon, clove, rum, oak, toasted coconut, chili pepper, light dark fruit/char, and roast/oak earthiness. Light-moderate roast/char bitterness and rum/oak/pepper spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, fudge, toffee, vanilla, molasses, cinnamon, clove, rum, oak, toasted coconut, chili pepper, light dark fruit/char, and roast/oak earthiness on the finish for a while. Incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roasted malt, coffee/vanilla/pepper spice, and rum barrel flavors; with a fantastic roasted bitter/sweet and oak/pepper spiciness balance with zero cloying sweetness after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from bitter/spiciness as well. Light carbonation and very full bodied; with a very creamy/silky/slick, and fairly sticky/chalky balanced mouthfeel that is awesome. Alcohol is well hidden with a small warmth lingering after the finish; with some light pepper heat as well. Overall this is a mind blowing barrel aged spiced stout! All around insane complexity, robustness, and balance dark/roasted malt, coffee/vanilla/pepper spice, and rum barrel flavors; and very smooth and dangerously easy to sip on for the huge ABV. A world class offering for sure.

Shared 12 oz. bottle. Pours almost black with a short-lasting tan head. Viscous. Aroma of dark roasted malt, rum, vanilla, chocolate and spices. Taste is roasted malt, chocolate, vanilla, spices, oak and rum. Has a fairly sweet finish. Its good, but I prefer Bomb! to this.

Chocolate chillies on the nose, very unique, dark pour. Little to no tan head. Strong coffee and chocolate start. Definitely has an alcohol linger. Strong

Aroma: lots of roasty coffee and chocolate with some booziness; Appearance: pitch black with tan head that dissipates quickly; Taste: very sweet with some rum notes; a bit too sweet for me; Palate: extremely heavy body with long, sweet finish; Overall: can appreciate it but dont like it as much as others.

I had this beer and forgot to rate ...Unfortunately from memory I only remember it was liquid happiness. Rich and deep aroma of chocolate and vanilla. Thick and oily mouth feel. Taste well balanced but huge cloying sweetness with dark chocolate bitter notes. An invasion of flavors but still quite rounded. Aftertaste after couple of sips is getting more and more hot if I remember well. Huge stuff.

Fresh batch. Pours black and sticky looking with minimal head. Nose is loaded with fresh coffee and vanilla and an earthiness from the rum. Taste is dark chocolate, vanilla, and light coconut sweetness with enough dark roast malts to balance it out. Great stuff. Love the rustic elements the rum barrels bring.

Smells like and tastes like a gourmet dark chocolate bar with chili. Mouthfeel is thick with slight carbonation, aroma is vanilla and choco-heat. Smooth sipper, Taste is sweet. Argh. What a treasure, mates!

Bottle thanks to Casey. Pours a cloudy brown with medium beige head leaving spotty lacing. The aroma is strong rum, vanilla, coconut, roast. Medium mouth, similar flavors to nose, nice boozy finish, really enjoyed this.
