Bottle. Poured a dark brown color with an off white head. This sums it up -> WOW. This is one fantastic beer. Vanilla, chocolate, coffee, dark fruits, and just all around goodness. Alcohol content hidden. WOW.

Bottle. Black with a small beige head. Aroma of rum barrel, roast, coffee and chocolate. Sweet, rich with some barrel and mild rum and a little bitter. Booze is surprisingly well integrated. Full bodied and creamy. Nice, especially so considering I really dont like rum.

12oz bottle shared with Julien. Pours black with a thin small vanilla head. Smells boozy, rum/bourbon barrel aroma. Some nice spice and strong roast and smooth dark chocolate. Tastes very sweet and boozy. Rum barrel comes through very strongly. Nice roast on the end with some great enjoyable spice. Good mouthfeel. Aftertaste is booze. Very, Very nice.

UPDATED: FEB 27, 2017 Yet another high alcohol stout, gods help us poor drinkers. A friend at the Foundry asked if I would share a Pirate Bomb with him. I had no idea what he was talking about, but one of my mottoes is Never stifle a generous gesture and so I acceded. Beer from Oklahoma! Its like comedy from Germany... not happening, and yet here it was, bottled and poured into two tulips. As you can see, this is (contract?) brewed at Krebs Brewery, located in the back of Petes Place, an Italian Restaurant in Krebs (pop. 2,053), Oklahoma, just a few miles south of Bug Tussle and 40 miles from nowhere. Krebs is famous throughout Oklahoma for its many Italian restaurants. Isle of Capri, "Petes Place", and Roseannas have been active for generations. Authentic Italian fare available in Krebs that is lacking in chain restaurants includes "Lamb Fries" (fried sheep testicles). Krebs is situated along Route 69 and at one time had a restaurant named Speed Trap BBQ, located at 403 East 270 Highway Krebs, OK 74554. The restaurant was named for the way that speed limits dropped very quickly from 70 to 45 miles per hour (113 to 72 km/h) around the area where the town overlaps the highway. The speed trap is infamous because it lies along a very boring stretch of road and has been policed very aggressively, so it has annoyed a large number of travelers who otherwise might have visited the town to enjoy the restaurants and other activities. Petes Place is now a licensed brewery and markets its "Choc" (short for "Choctaw") beer, as well as several other varieties, statewide. Fortunately the noble Sally had topped off my water glass, as this one was a serious sipper. Overwhelming nose, both chocolate and vanilla, coffee and so on. Same in the flavor... Id have to say that Ive had quite a few similar stouts this winter, and while there is, in my mind, no clear winner, I look forward to trying most of them again next winter. What the hell do they know about winter in OK? They do know about stout however.

Flesje van Benzai, bedankt man! Bijna zwart, Chocolade, cocos, vanille in de overdonderende geur. Zoet, dik, chocolade, vanille, rum en gedroogd fruit. Moutig ook nog. Zeer weinig koolzuur. Hartverwarmend en overdonderend, mede dankzij de alcohol.

Bottle - Dark pour (obviously). Pretty boozy right up front. A boozy nose along with some mocha chocolate. Nice vanilla chocolate taste. Some rum and roasted coffee as well. A fairly thin body.

Draft. Aroma of chocolate cake. Flavors are nothing like: chewy, cocoa-enhanced espresso, with some warm vanilla cocoa, and a hint of chile that comes across like mint. Theres also a thick richness I cant quite place, maybe a bit of hazelnut? Lots of body. Finishes dry, even at this ABV. Wow.

NOSE- smells quite boozy right away, but that yields. FLAVOR- what you expect from bomb series. But Im surprised there isnt more chili kick. The coffee and vanilla are light, but balance one another well.

Pours black in color with a tan head. Chocolate coconut vanilla sticky sweet aroma and taste with a charred character and warming booziness going down. Notes: on tap at Bangers, Austin Feb 17 Super Bowl Weekend...go Pats.

Black with a head so dark, its not black, but.. Im just sayin... Aroma is dark roast with herb. Flavor is strong coffee. Taste starts with rum and quickly turns to rich lactose infused chocolate syrup with a lot of alcohol.
