Pirate bomb is our beer Prairie Bomb! aged in rum casks. The flavor from the casks helps impart more vanilla and coconut flavors to the beer while helping to add more body and smoothness to the already explosive and expressive flavors of Bomb!

Bottle. Poured a dark brown color with an off white head. This sums it up -> WOW. This is one fantastic beer. Vanilla, chocolate, coffee, dark fruits, and just all around goodness. Alcohol content hidden. WOW.

Bottled. 15%. Pours pitch black, tan head. Aroma is chocolate, coffee, coffee cake, cinnamon, rum, dusted cocoa powder, vanilla, coconut. There is plenty going on here, and it really is lovely. Flavor is chocolate, cinnamon, rum, rum booziness, coconut strips, vanilla, coffee cake, some chili peppers. Wow, what a majestic beer. That mouthfeel is absolutely perfect. Perfectly syrupy smooth. I cannot believe how good this is. I’m really surprised. I expected it to be good. But not this good. Maybe better than Xmas Bomb depending on the mood (which for me is saying something).

This particular bottle, that Ive tried was a bit too old I think and the first time Ive tried it it might have been a bit too young, but in both cases I had a feeling that it is a class beer. Decent amount of rum which merges well with notes of chocolate and some vanilla. There is also some notes of coffee with decent amount of chillies on the palate (not overwhelming, though). Great stuff.

Another incredible spin on their Bomb! Aromas and flavors of rum, chocolate, roasted malt, hops, coffee and spice. Slight oak sweetness. Beautiful color and a thick mouth-feel with a thin head. Near perfect.

Bottle shared by one of the bartenders at ISO: Beers. Pours a deep dark jet black with a thin tan head. Big fat cocoa, smells of a bit of milk splashed over Rum Chocolate Captain Crunch (I don’t think this is a real cereal flavor, but now I hope it is). The rum is present but not dominant. Integrated and yet still warm and boozy, full of chocolate and cocoa, rum and soft wood. Lovely, warm, full of vanilla nnd wood tones. Sweet and delightful.

Pours very dark brown from the bottle. The thin brown head fades almost instantly. Aroma is rum, vanilla, coconut, birthday cake icing. Wonderfully sweet and complex. Taste is quite sweet, dominated by a rum and vanilla mix. The finish is long, rum-ladened, warming, and very sweet. Body is heavy with a mild carbonation. Overall — a good dessert beer with plenty of rum notes.

Biroholik (1345) - Sosnowiec, Poland, POLAND - MAY 14, 2017
Tap @ MBCC 2017 Zajebiście lepkie, złożone. Alkohol cycuś glancuś. Dużo ciała. W smaku i w aromacie mnóstwo wanilii, drewna, czekolady. Beczka po rumie mocno wyczuwalna, a nie tak jak w przypadku innych RISów na granicy autosugestii. Genialne, pełne, wyklejające usta i podniebienie.
