COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Prairie Ale is our classic saison. We brew this beer with pilsner malt, wheat malt, flaked wheat, and cane sugar. A healthy dose of saaz hops are used to add a spicy element to the beer. Prairie Ale is fermented with a mix of ale yeast, wine yeast, and brettanomyces. Notes of black pepper and pineapple can be found in this beer.

Tap. Pours slight cloudy straw yellow with very typical big long-lasting brett white head. Aroma is nice and complex, yet light and delicious. Funky brett, wheat, citrus, sweet pineapple and apricot. Some saison spice, pepper and slight malt. Some apricot in there as well and slight sourness. Taste has the same complexity. Funky brett, wheat, malt, some sweet apricot candy, acidic lemon and bit sour. Well carbonated and full body due to the quite well hidden ABV. Dry brett finish with some spices, and some slight warming alcohol as it warms. Really drinkable!

Draught @ Beergeek Bar, Prague. Hazy yellow colour, slim creamy white head. Brett dominates the nose, in the taste it’s less dominant with sweet and yeasty Belgian tripel tones coming through. Creamy mouthfeel, low carbonation and good body.

2015 bottle. A cloudy golden straw with a fizzy white head that settles into a nice foam. Aroma is a slightly soured grain smell with lemon and a hint of black pepper. Lots of mild pepper and spice in the taste. The wheat and malt are blanketed by a nice lemon and bubblegum taste. Just a barely detectable bitterness. Medium bodied with lots of carbonation. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Hazy straw colour with a large and lasting white head. The aroma is heavily yeasty, brettanomyces, citrus, earthy. The flavour is sweeter than expected with pale malts, yeast, citrus (lemon), good earthy brett character, and some bitterness in the final. On the sweet side but well made, a great beer. Edit: just saw this is 8.2%. The fuck

On tap at Barley Brothers Stadium. Pale in colour and crystal clear with a white head. Sweet and fruity with a touch of citrus zest. Very slightly tart and pretty dry, nicely balanced. Simple but tasty.

Pours hazy yellow orange with a generous lemon head. Nose is funk, Brett, wheat, grass, lemon, coriander, and spices. Flavour is orange zest, barnyard, dried apricot, citrus, and lemon drop. Moderate carbonation. Nice saison.

Lightly clouded gold-straw with huge off-white head, moderate coarseness, slow rate of decay. Aroma is tart and funky, lightly cheesy, spicy hopes, some lemon cleaner scent with a touch of mineral content. Body is light, watery, slightly oily, with a huge, tingly-prickly moderate-coarseness carbonation that has moderate-strong burn and fills the mouth. Flavor is lemon-orange-grapefruit (no pineapple, guava), maybe a touch of persimmon and children’s purple Tylenol?, a touch of dry herbal bitterness in the finish that lingers, tingling, not biting. Very little sweetness. A very crisp, yummy Brett saison!
