UPDATED: JUN 24, 2016 Temperature from 12,6°C to 14,3°C. Another mischievous one that rushes away when opening the bottle - thanks the bottle is not too short... Opaque yellow body (suspended yeast cells) headed by a hyper aery and crystalline foam that quickly collapses to a kind of a meringue. Aroma of lemon, flowers, fresh grass; that’s fresh without being unsignificant; that’s a bit rough : sour apple, apricot, pineapple (not sweet). Taste is the same, and more than that : it’s swarming with sensations, it’s crackling like funky champagne. A lot of fineness and character while being pleasant and quite easy to enjoy. Perfect with varied kinds of goat cheese and deli. I absolutely have to taste it again, to increase knowledge about it, so amazing this beer is.
Bought bottle from Crown Liquors in Indy and poured into a snifter a cloudy lemon with a massive white head that almost overflowed the glass then settled into a nice pillow top.
Aroma is citrusy funk burlap bready.
Flavor is crazy! Got sweetness right off the top which amazingly worked with this Saison. A bit spicy some barnyard definitely got the pineapple.
Carbonated highly and well balanced with the flavors on the palate. More sweet than I am used to with this style.
This was my first Prairie Brew of which I have been hearing great things and was not disappointed. The hype is right on. This saison is outstanding! LOVE this brew & will easily seek out another bottle.

A lighter than anticipated golden and yellow. Nearly clear, though some slight, floating sediment can be seen. Very large, huge, incredibly persistent, large-bubbled head. This one had an incredible amount of carbonation and leaves thick, chunky spiderwebs of gorgeous lace all the way down the glass. Complete and appropriate aroma of earth, hay, dried grasses, a hint of musty barnyard, and a complementary, almost juicy, fruit character of perhaps peach, strawberry, and mild citrus. The flavor is similar, and incredibly drinkable. Earthy, barnyard flavors complement hay, grass, earth, fruit (citrus, melon, and strawberry) and a bit of black pepper. Some very mild lemon as well. Really delicious. One of my favorite straightforward, to-style, American saisons. Thinner to medium bodied with high carbonation. Incredibly drinkable and very well crafted.I love this beer. Fantastic American version of what is perhaps my favorite style. SPDickerman (1239) - Texas, USA - AUG 25, 2013
Pours cloudy yellow with a large white head. Smells farmhouse funky, of lemongrass, and fruits. Taste is peppery, fruity, and funky. Light-bodied with a fizzy texture and active mouth-carbonation, Prairie Artisan Ale Prairie Ale finishes with a mild funkiness. GenDV138 (7201) - Falls Church, Virginia, USA - MAR 14, 2014
Bottle poured into a tulip. Pours a clear straw yellow color with lots of off-white head, about 4 fingers worth. Once the whole bottle is poured in with the yeast, the color changes to a kind of cloudy pineapple banana shake color. Head recedes slowly leaving nice webby lacing around the glass. Lots of bubbles flowing up the glass. Aromas of funk, lemon/lime citrus, floral and grassy notes. Tasting notes of funk. Brett, lemon/lime citrus, spices, tropical fruit, floral notes. Medium body with a dry finish. Medium carbonation, Very enjoyable saison from Prairie.

On tap at Scratch Bar 090814. Possibly the best Saison I have had. Soft white head covers a well carbonated golden amber beer. The flavour is full on and fills the mouth with tropical fruit, lingering long in the mouth well after the beer is gone.

bottle. nice cloudy pale gold/white color with a huge, whipped white head. soft brett notes with floral and grassy hops in aroma. high prickly carbonation. flavor is very delicate with flowers, vanilla, dough, grass. alcohol and cane sugar provide some light dry airyness in the finish along with some grassy bitterness. also a lingering perfumey/floral note that rules! thinp (21) - Kansas city, Kansas, USA - NOV 24, 2012
nice classic saison look with whit frothy head. Nose is light citrus and hay. The taste is light cracked pepper, slight grass, lemon and citrus followed by a slight funk and dry finish. This beer has a nice creamy mouthfeel, extremely drinkable and well executed. Do want more. daknole (11044) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - JAN 30, 2013
Lightly cloudy yellow/gold pour. Perfect sized white head. Aroma hits up front with brett, barnyard, manure, wet hay, leather, rotten wood. Bretty flavor, yeast, old wood, caraway seed. Finishes a little dry. This brewery is badass. Lukaduke (3206) - Gray, Maine, USA - FEB 4, 2013
Pours a rich golden color with a two finger sticky foam. Aromas are nice and complex with earthy orchard fruits, peppery spice and a good dose of barnyard funk. The palate is tasty refreshing and beautifully balanced. Nice layers of flavors ranging from citrusy tart lime and funky barnyard earth with hints of peppery spice and round fruit. Touch of grassy hops and a clean dry bitter finish. I took care of this bottle quickly and need more !
