COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Prairie Ale is our classic saison. We brew this beer with pilsner malt, wheat malt, flaked wheat, and cane sugar. A healthy dose of saaz hops are used to add a spicy element to the beer. Prairie Ale is fermented with a mix of ale yeast, wine yeast, and brettanomyces. Notes of black pepper and pineapple can be found in this beer.

bottle-conditioned 750ml. hazy wheat colored body with a billowy lasting white head. crunchy grain husks and over-cooked bready malt notes with a wash of sulfuric yeast and sweat sock brett. its certainly a powerful smell, its not easy to miss the brett character or the hops, but its not in balance at all. yeasty chalk and coarse toasted grains and runaway tartness with a big, sloppy, chewy body. woody, nutty, sourish wheat, band aids and sweat socks. overblown brett character and its so bitter and astringent that I would guess it underwent an unfortunate oak treatment. an overdose of tropical fruit esters and hop acid.

NikkTwist (2853) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 30, 2016
UPDATED: OCT 30, 2016 Draft at Bierstube. Cloudy golden yellow pour that started with an abundance of white froth. Thick lace. Juicy, fruity and herbal. Limes. Apricots. Dill. Celery hearts. Blonde biscuit malts. The Brett adds a bit of tang but not much funk. Sweetish but finishes mostly dry. Very easy drinking for the listed ABV.

Slightly opaque and golden appearance. Faint citrus notes - very little aroma. Has yeasty, stone fruit (apricot) notes but finish is a little harsh and alcoholic. Overall a solid Saison.

Stine (1765) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - AUG 2, 2016
Poured to a Struise tulip, the color is a beautiful, cloudy pale gold. The head continuously built long after the pour. The aroma is highly herbal, a zesty bouquet of white sage, lavender, soft mint, and cracked black pepper. Malt has its moments buried down low in honeycomb and possibly pancake batter later on. The prevalent sensation in the early flavor is that its too hot. The herbs are still everywhere, and folded in with caramelized pears, pineapple, and focaccia. It is all assuredly pleasant and cleanly constructed; the alcohol warmth is consistently too distracting for this to be truly great. The palate is lean and dry for the most part, if occasionally brushing up against the inevitable slickness that high alcohol brings.

Alaranjada palha de mdia turbidez, espuma branca abundante de mdia persistncia. Aroma intenso de fermento, ctrico alaranjado, seca, carambola. No paladar leve acidez e dulor. Corpo leve e alta carbonatao. Final trs mais da laranja e carambola, suco de uva verde, inicia seca mas fica mais equilibrada com tempo de copo. Uma boa saison, mas ainda perde para as belgas tradicionais.

UPDATED: JUN 24, 2016 Temperature from 12,6C to 14,3C. Another mischievous one that rushes away when opening the bottle - thanks the bottle is not too short... Opaque yellow body (suspended yeast cells) headed by a hyper aery and crystalline foam that quickly collapses to a kind of a meringue. Aroma of lemon, flowers, fresh grass; thats fresh without being unsignificant; thats a bit rough : sour apple, apricot, pineapple (not sweet). Taste is the same, and more than that : its swarming with sensations, its crackling like funky champagne. A lot of fineness and character while being pleasant and quite easy to enjoy. Perfect with varied kinds of goat cheese and deli. I absolutely have to taste it again, to increase knowledge about it, so amazing this beer is. Cest exceptionnel, totalement euphorisant. Fabuleuse avec un bleu crmeux et cors.

Bottle, 1 pint 9 fl. oz. Home. A sparkling golden fizzy beer with a big white foamy head ; good retention. Herbs, vegetable, mushroom (not my thing...), alcohol, light pepper. Light to medium sweet, light dry bitter refreshing ; warming. Full body, thin silky texture, good carbonation, warming dry finish, light bitter. Overall, average herbal vegetable strong ale.

A 16.9 fl oz (500ml) bottle with a Julian bottled on date of 24114, meaning it was bottled on 29th August 2014. It was poured into a Duvel tulip glass. It poured a cloudy golden colour with a 2 finger pillowy white head that dissipates slowly leaving nice lacing. Nice funky farmhouse aromas with some pineapple, sour apple, light honey, some citrus and pepper. Taste includes lemon juice, green apple, honey and pepper. Surprisingly a little on the sweet side. Dry, light to medium bodied with high carbonation. Overall, great colours and aromas although it was surprisingly on the sweet side for me.

8.2%ABV. Saison. Poured out a dirty deep gold. 10SRM. Nose has aromas of aceto and unripe plum tartness. Mouthfeel is sudsy. Palate is surprisingly light. There is a brief sour which evaporates into a smoky sweet palate. Like a deeply roasted wheat malt or toasted wheat germ. Some hop bitterness. Clean sweet finish.

Bottle. Light straw, billowing white frothy head. Aromas of pineapple and other tropical fruit, sour Brett funk and hints of pepper. Bubblegum, pineapple, Brett and pepper flavours which are all dominated by alcohol. Perfect high carbonation and refreshing for a beer of such high ABV ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
