Aroma is rustic, citrus, pepper, barnyard, funky, earthy hops, very nice. Appearance is amber/straw yellow, a touch darker than a regular saison, off white head, hazy. Taste is a solid mixture of pale ale and saison, lots of earthy hops mixed with funky barnyard, citrus, spices, no banana which is a plus. Mouthfeel is medium body, crisp carbonation, tons of hops and funk in the aftertaste. Overall, while not a true saison, this is very satisfying.

A 1 pint 0.9 fl oz (500ml) bottle with a Julian bottled on date of 19515, meaning it was bottled on 14th July 2015. It was poured into a Duvel tulip glass. It poured a cloudy light gold colour (maybe even a bit murky) with a huge 3 finger white head that had good retention and nice lacing. Aromas are tropical pineapple, mango and peach, some grassiness and pear with a peppery mandarin finish. Taste starts with biscuity bready malts, slight tartness with tropical mango and peach, followed by grassy and floral notes, some citrus zestiness and a mandarin, white peppery spice finish. Dry, medium bodied with mid to high carbonation. Overall a great saison with nice tropical, zesty and spicy notes.

Bottle from Cornelius. Hazy amber body with a thin white head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of cloudy cider, mango, pineapple, funky yeast and grass. Flavour of tangerine, flowery hops and a hint of white pepper. Medium body with a fizzy mouthfeel. Reminds me of Orval in terms of aroma and flavour. It drinks just as easily despite being a bit stronger at 8.0% ABV. Great beer.
