375 mL bottle from errl. Love the label on this. Very dark brown with slightly watery rim. Nose is burnt malts, light vanilla and booze, some dark chocolate. Taste is brooding dark and burnt malts, tons of dark bitter chocolate, some sweet vanilla and dark caramel but well balanced by bitter malt and hops. Medium body, high carbonation.

Bottle from unknown in trade. Pours an opaque brown-black, little bit of tan head. Aroma roasty, some coffee, booze. Body medium, with a full, creamy oaky finish, bittersweet chocolate. Some warming in the back end. Well done, if not in the very top tier.

Bottle from a trade a while back so the booze has faded pretty well. Oak and vanilla aromas. Little bit of alcohol there as well. Flavor is slightly roasty with a little bit of dark fruit plum and cherry. Finish is a touch tart and a little off for me. Bittersweet and cocoa working in there as well. Pretty nice.

Bottle, 12oz. A jetblack beer with a dense, finger-thick light tan head. The aroma has a touch of bourbon and boozyness, with lots of roasted malts and a good dash of coffee and chocolate. It’s full-bodied and silky on the palate, with a lovely carbonation level. Some sourish, almost acidic notes in the flavor, which is mostly coffee, roasted malts and dark chocolate. Bourbon too, no vanilla. Lasting finish. A quite wonderful one, but a bit too boozy. 141025

Poured a dark brown color with aromas of oatmeal, wood, caramel, roast, and whiskey. Flavors follow suit solid barrel aged beer that is easy to drink.
