Bottle: Thanks Thewildwes: Served in a Chouffe glass: Medium sized light brown foamy hea on topmof a Aromas of vinous notes, roast, coffee, brett, chocolate, light wood, light hint of bay leaf and some sloght hints of fruit like berries. Flavours of spices, roast, coffee, some chocolate, some wood, light light bourbon, light wilder yeast tone, some darker fruits, nice bitters, some roasted malts and a good dark tone of typical Imperial Stout tones... Aftertaste is a mix of chocolate, bitters, light coffee, lighter wood and eveb lighter something like bourbon... Low carbo, creamy close to silky mouthfeel, medium to full bodied and a creamy smooth texture. Nice beer, needs some air and time to show it’s real face!

I’ve been lucky enough to have this both from the original version released in the 750mL bottles and in the 12oz bottles. Bourbon, cocoa, and coffee on the nose, with all following on the palate. Finishes semi-sweet with caramel and toffee notes.

Smell is dark malt and smells aged with some bourbon. Taste is bitter dark chocolate. Like 80 percent cacao. Bitter dry and cacao finish with warmth but no booze and some bourbon flavor. Good stuff. Creamy mouthfeel.
