Bottle, 12oz. A jetblack beer with a dense, finger-thick light tan head. The aroma has a touch of bourbon and boozyness, with lots of roasted malts and a good dash of coffee and chocolate. It’s full-bodied and silky on the palate, with a lovely carbonation level. Some sourish, almost acidic notes in the flavor, which is mostly coffee, roasted malts and dark chocolate. Bourbon too, no vanilla. Lasting finish. A quite wonderful one, but a bit too boozy. 141025 jtclockwork (16690) - , New Jersey, USA - AUG 21, 2013
