Thanks to Phil for sharing. Cloudy golden pour with a white head. Lemon, white grape, and apricot on the nose. Notes of pineapple, some vanilla, chives, and oak. Decently funky. Really nice fruit character to the flavor. Tons of grape, pineapple, lemon, and apricot. Notes of grass, oak, and earthy funk. Pretty citrusy on the tongue, too. Quite nice.

Shared at the Prairie Everything Dark/Kill Your Liver Extravaganza at Jeff’s House on July 1. 750 mL bottle, 2013 vintage. The pour is a dark golden orange color with a thick ivory colored head that slowly recedes with a good bit of lace behind it. The aroma is full of brett from front to back. There is a light tartness about it, a touch of spiciness, and a light oaky fruitiness. The flavor is a little more white-wine based with a strong brett and a decent barnyard funkiness carrying it. There is a little more fruit and a decent oakiness. The mouth feel is light and clean with a brighter carbonation and a strong funky brett finish. There is a light tartness that I enjoy, but it’s just a touch too funky. Solid offering. 8 4 8 4 16

Taste is woody, very bretty, funk, barnyard, dusty, awesome. Mouthfeel is light to medium body, light carbonation, brett tart funky aftertaste. Overall, this one is a damn treat.

750ml corked bottle, 2013 vintage. Pours a hazy, glowing straw color with a small head that dissipates almost immediately. Lots of fruit in the nose, muscat, pear blossoms alongside oak and chardonnay yeast. Soft carbonation and quite well-rounded on the palate. More muscat and wine-notes come out as it warms then an undertone of tropical fruit: lychee, pineapple and tangerine. Light bitterness on the finish with some tropical fruit skin. Very good 4 years later, although almost all carbonation has seemingly vanished.

A 16.9 fl oz (500ml) bottle with oddly no bottled on date visible. Poured into a d’Achouffe tulip glass. It poured a cloudy golden colour with a big three finger white head that dissipated quickly but settled to a thin cap and leaves nice lacing. Aromas of strong earthy musty farmhouse funk and damp wood, citrus lemon and orange as well as tropical apricot. Tastes tart, lightly sour, light funk, lemon, honey, apple peel, pepper spice and a touch of alcohol creeping through. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Overall this was quite good but there was a distinct lack of oak barrel notes that I had expected. On top of that, it was a little disappointing that a bit of alcohol creeped out into the taste.

Pours a clear light golden color with no head. Nose is slightly sour and yeasty with bittersweet citrus notes. Taste is wild yeast, cloves with some crisp funk. Finish is crisp, short and ends on citrusy yeasty notes. Quaff Score 7/10

Un faux air de muscadet acide ( de jeunes raisins un peu verts ??? ) C’est très bien passé avec les huîtres de ce dimanche ... Plus sur le citron en se réchauffant. chouette comme souvent avec Prairie.
