Funky yeast, lemon grass and piney hops... this one’s all over the map. Golden yellow, plenty of fizz. Tastes outright sour, followed by blunt bitter. Body is not crisp, rather it is an initial flush, and then a slow dry out. This is an extreme saison, with element of sour wheat ales.

12 oz bottle from Growlers to Go, Short Pump, VA the ale poured a clear gold color with a small white head and limited lacing. The aroma of pale malts and mild citrus. The farmhouse ales to me are all on the mild side of hopiness. The saison ale is easy to drink with a light body and average carbonation. Not much bitterness in the aftertaste. Overall easy to drink but very tame.

UPDATED: NOV 4, 2017 Bottle from corner stone store. Nose is bright and citrus and floral. Bright and light clean bodied farmhouse. Grass and hop and hint of sweet malt. Very clean and tasty with just right amount of spice.

Total saison, well-rounded, with a bit of everything: citrus, floral, grassy, tropical, and spice. Light palate, balanced by light malts, and a flavorful intensity.

355mL bottle from Carwyn Cellars, Melbourne. Can't decipher bottle stamp Pours a big pillowy head atop a hazy pale straw body. Pleasant aroma - grainy malt, hay, white pepper, dry meadow, floral hops adding a touch of citrus blossom & dried herbal spice. Carbonation is lively yet soft lending a creaminess & texture to an otherwise dry, lean, well-attenuated body. Flavour is quite delicate - citrus, cereal, hay, spice, slightest hint of acidity, has a sort of creaminess about it too. Very well made, easy, elegant in its own sort of way.

(Keg at Sori Taproom, 20171005) The beer poured pale golden and hazy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had fruitiness, perfume and earth. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, earth, spiciness, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was fruity, tart and bitter. A brew with bit unpleasant aroma due perfume but nice taste.

12 fl oz. bottle from Beer Beyond, Hamburg. Pours out in a murky pale golden with a small white head. Some hop and tropical fruit on the nose. Taste is dry hopy, tropical, lemon, mid fruity sourness. Yeasty. Dry fruity mid bitterness. High carbonated. Good one.

From a 355ml bottle on 18/9/2017. Pours a hazy light golden with a small head. The nose is yeasty, tart and a touch spicy. The flavours are relatively subdued but well integrated, with bread, dough, citrus fruit (lemon, lime) and yeast in the mix. Features a modest, slightly spicy bitterness. Medium bodied with prickly carbonation. Saisons are generally not my thing, but this is quite tasty.

Looks juicy in the glass, with fresh notes of grass, lemon and lime zest. Some pears also. Taste is crisp and lemony, a bit sweet with notes of light grassy hops, effervescent vitamins and farmhouse barnyard. Not too complicated, but delivers the freshness that I look for in a saison.
