Fairly standard saison, competent but rather nondescript, grassy and refreshing and lacking any serious defining characteristic other than its all-around ordinariness. Not that being plain is a negative; I just wish I had more to say (and like) about Standard. Appropriate name, though. Grass and hay, slight clove sweetness backed by a bready undertone, a modicum of citric sourness peeking through towards the finish. Not much action on the fade, mostly a textural experience, sparkly and bright yet lacking much by way of deep farmhouse notes. Decent look, hazed straw gold with a modest head and lace. Nose is sweet, mixing hay with yeast and a hint of sour funk. I want to like this beer more, but I don’t. Oh well.

Bottle shared at home with shonali. Very hazy straw yellow colour, like a milkshake with small white lacing. Nose is a little bit held back saison. Taste is the same... se ize se buze.

Draft. A hazy golden beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma has notes of malt, straw, and wet hay. The flavor is sweet with noets of malt, straw, spices, and a bit of wood, leading to a dry finish.
