COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Vanilla Noir is Prairie Noir aged on organic, fair trade vanilla beans, and lets just say it takes a lot of beans! The vanilla flavor compliments the whiskey barrel aging process and adds a delicious layer to the beer.

Pours black with almost no head. Aromas of chocolate, caramel, brown sugar, vanilla, roasted malt, oak character, slight liquorice. Taste has a very nice depth with loads of caramel and oak along with muscovado sugar and some burnt notes and vanilla. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with a nice smoothness. Some alcohol burn.

Bottle shared by alexsdad06. Poured a black color with an average frothy brown head that lasted with good lacing. Moderate to heavy roasted chocolate, coffee, vanilla and alcohol aroma. Heavy dark sweet toasted dark chocolate malt flavor with a heavy dark sweet and small alcohol bite finish of long duration. Full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. This is a standout beer.

CanIHave4Beers (4160) - Pouring Bus, Iowa, USA - JAN 14, 2017
On Draught
Pours black with a big tan head and lots of lacing on the glass.

The aroma is vanilla bean and chocolate cake baking in the oven. Rich & sweet, inviting to say the least.

The flavor is sweet & rich loads of chocolate, vanilla bean, toffee, & maple. Nicely roasty with a mild espresso like bitterness and a pleasant warming booziness.
Delicious dessert beer

MrSquash (131) - Florida, USA - DEC 31, 2016
Aroma has a high level of vanilla extract alcohol quality. Background is milk chocolate. Flavor is surprisingly dark/roasty grain that is borderline astringent. Aftertaste is mostly roast with mild chocolate and vanilla. Roast is far more dominant than any vanilla qualities.

marcus (9704) - Sacramento, California, USA - DEC 25, 2016
Bottle from Cap Tap. Pours dark brown with a transient light brown head and a treacle and whiskey aroma. There is a sweet dark molasses flavor with a hefty dose of vanilla and slight fruitiness. Warm alcohol trail that leaves whiskey on the palate. A nice sipper.

Bottle. Clear dark brown color, brown head. Vanilla aroma up front with chocolate, caramel, whiskey. Vanilla overwhelms all in the taste, even the whiskey. Interesting.

December 16, 2016 - bottle from AV3. Black pour with limited head. Aroma was vanilla, chocolate and whiskey. Taste was consistent with the aroma, but maybe a touch too sweet.
