Keg at Local Option. Dark brown, thin creamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of peppers, roast, chocolate, hickory like smoke. Taste is roast, chocolate, caramel, peppers. Medium full bodied, lingering heat, lingering bitterness. Nice. Beergaard (358) - Aarhus, DENMARK - AUG 1, 2017
Not surprisingly the birthday bomb is decadent and overwhelming. Coffee, chocolate, cocoa, caramel. tapefuzz (615) - Massachusetts, USA - JUL 31, 2017
Draught. Pours black with a moderate tan head. Aroma is spice, chocolate, caramel, coffee, vanilla, chiles, and cinnamon. Taste is similar, but bigger and the caramel syrup is even more present. Very light roasty bitterness and a good amount of hot pepper burn. Full body. Carbonation is moderate but a little prickly. Smooth, silky mouthfeel. Palate is slightly inferior to BOMB! but still very strong. cards04 (2822) - Steinbach, Manitoba, CANADA - JUL 30, 2017
An excellent version of bomb! Inky black pour, aromas of chilies, vanilla, caramel, dark chocolate. Tastes like it smells. Semi sweet, roasty. Balanced and delicious. jefcon (1878) - Arlington, Virginia, USA - JUL 26, 2017
Bottle. Black in the glass with a thin, tan emerging head. Aromas are intense coffee, cocoa nibs, peppers. Lots of coffee and chocolate on the front end, warming alcohol and pepper heat on the finish. Also a good amount of round bitter hops. There’s more fruit on this beer than I thought there would be at first sip.

Draft from the Dive Bar. Pours black with a thin khaki head. Huge coffee and peppers on the nose and tongue. Has some heat as it warms but it’s balanced. Hides it’s booze well, extremely well. Nice! oobawa (1496) - Tennessee, USA - JUL 22, 2017
Gotta love the Bombs, even if I find this one just a smidge too far on the sweet side as compared to its brethren. Giant caramel-filled chocolate center, gooey and indulgent, with a backbone of dark roasted java with undertones of black cherry, date, fig, and anise. Back end dries out somewhat, with a lengthy bitter finish and a lovely pepper heat on the fade. Boozy chocolate liqueur nose, and the pour’s a viscous black with blood red edges, very little head or lace. Perfect feel, the 13% ABV barely peeking through and with just enough capsaicin to remind you you’re drinking a pepper stout. Delicious. chrisv10 (17669) - DENMARK - JUL 21, 2017
Bottle, 13%. Very dark brown with tiny head. Aroma is roasted malts, chocolate, vanilla, dark fruit, caramel, oak, dark chocolate and wood. Flavour is roasted malts, chocolate, dark fruit, dark chocolate, oak, sweet, liquorice, caramel, spices, warming, notes of chili and sticky. jzzbassman (1638) - Arlington, Texas, USA - JUL 16, 2017
Bottled. Pours opaque black with a nice tan head. Big aroma of coffee and fusel alcohol. Flavor of coffee, chocolate, malted milk ball, with a bite of chile. Good mouthfeel that wears the 13% well. BelgianBeerGal (4085) - Panama City, Florida, USA - JUL 14, 2017
Draft from a newly tapped keg at HV What’s on Tap. Dark brown color with some thin ruby highlights on the edges. Heavy coffee and coffee grounds in the aroma. Very busy flavor: baking chocolate, vanilla cream, espresso and finishes with lingering pepper spice. Really no hint of the 13 ABV. Its big but tons of flavor.
