I had this beer two times before.The first time it was almost a year old and it was one of the best beers i ever had.Pours thick black,intense and complex aroma with the coffee a bit upfront. Great mouthfeel,heavy and sticky,not overly sweet and with a taste to be remembered. The second time it was fresh and the burn was too much for me,plus the chilli aroma was dominant.Still good,but I really prefer it aged. natejgood (549) - Bozeman, Montana, USA - APR 8, 2018
UPDATED: APR 8, 2018 This beer pours dark and thick and has an aroma to match. The scent is sweet and heavy with molasses and overripe fruit coming through. The taste is like a powerful punch in the face - but in a good way. There is so much flavor in this beer that it initially knocked me back a little. It is a bit too sweet and syrupy for me, but there is a bit of spicy pepper that does just enough to cut the sweetness. This beer is definitely worth a try. UPDATED: APR 8, 2018 Great balance in this beer. The chili, coffee, vanilla and chocolate pair very well with the stout flavours. Nothing is too strongor to weak. The coffee and chocolate bitterness and chili burn is just enough. This is probably already a great stout on its own but the ageing just add up to the complexity. Thick and smooth. From tap at BeerTemple, Amsterdam. Aroma is cocoa nibs with roast, chocolate, espresso, some chili peppers, and vanilla. Flavour is medium sweet with a roasty bitterness in the finish. Body is full. Lovely all-round Imperial Stout with the kind of ingredients I particularly enjoy, great stuff.

Aroma is dark roast espresso, hazelnuts, cacao, vanilla, soy, oak barrel, dark chocolate and sticky toffee.
Taste is intense espresso, chocolate, slight hazelnuts, hint of soy, very light barrel note, brown sugar and then a decent chili sting, which I'm not the biggest fan of.
Mouthfeel is semi-thick at first but then has a slightly light feel to it. Sticky like a cake. Medium-low bitterness. Low carbonation.
Overall: is As I constantly go on and on about, chili heat in beers is really not my thing. I'm starting with this fact because this is the only thing dragging this beautiful beer down. It hides some of the flavour and it prevents me from really pinpointing and feeling the beer in its entirety. This, minus the chili heat, is pretty much exactly what I really love in a Imperial Stout. Can't even feel the 13% ABV, probably will when I get up though! Fantastic stuff, can't wait to try the two other versions of this I have.

Sample from bottle at Extreme Beerfest, Ralston Arena. Pour was black with tan head. Aroma of dark roast coffee, dark chocolate, roasted malt, soy sauce. Taste was bittersweet, dark chocolate, coffee, peppers, tingling, booze. Nice. Best of the Fest.
