COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Prairie Artisan Ales and Evil Twin Brewing have joined forces again on a variation of their first collaboration. The new beer is Barrel-Aged Bible Belt, a 12 percent ABV imperial stout brewed with cacao nibs, chili peppers, coffee and vanilla beans before being aged in Heaven Hill whiskey barrels for between seven and nine months. As the name suggests, the base beer is Bible Belt, a 13 percent imperial stout first released in 2014 that combines Evil Twin’s Even More Jesus imperial stout (12 percent ABV) and the same spices and other adjuncts that are used in Prairie’s Bomb! imperial stout (13 percent ABV.)

Intensiv schokoladiger Antrunk. Wenig aber erkennbar alkoholisch, cremig, Noten von Nüssen. Geringe Karbonisierung, vergorene Fruchtnoten, intensiv würzig. Wenig nach Kräutern, Bitterschokokade, langer Nachhall. Lecker! 10/12/10/13//12

On tap. A black beer with a mid-sized most good lasting tan head. Aroma of dark roasted malt, coffee, bourbon, wood. Taste of dark roasted malt, bitter roasted coffee, vanilla, bourbon, ash, awesome.

Bottle from my man Greg (gregwilsonstl) -- cheers! Just as good as Imperial stouts get. Great, medium-full and silky body, with chocolate sweetness all over the place, and then a ton of spices, oak, booze, and coffee at the end.

12 oz. bottle via trade with Shea - thanks again, Shea! Pours a deep, dark, opaque brown with a very small dark tan head that settles into a ring and a few small dots of head. Notes of coffee, roasted malts, charred oak, whiskey, chile pepper, cacao nibs, vanilla, burnt toast, light soy, and some dark fruits. Medium-full bodied, with low carbonation and a roasty, sweet, warming, slightly spicy mouthfeel. A little dry when it's colder, a little sticky when it's warmer, and a little umami both ways. It's good but not deserving of its next level reputation.

Keg at CBC Brixton. Very dark brown with hints of black and purple. Flat, flat, flat. Divine smell: I'm getting vanilla, chilli chocolate, molasses, yeast extract, earth. The bourbon comes through in spades when I take a larger-than-I-should sip. Still nice, but like so many BA beers the bourbon dominates at the expense of the other flavours, even in the long sour mash finish. A bit more chilli in the aftertaste. Full, thick, whale-oil body. Wow. A mixed bag but there's no denying the craft behind this.

Mariox (291) - Warsaw, POLAND - OCT 2, 2017
W aromacie przede wszystkim kawa i lekko palone nuty, czuć wanilię, delikatnie ziemisty aromat, ale nawet fajny. W smaku nie przesadzona słodycz, lekko kwaśne, gorycz znikoma. Lekko wysycone.

No złożoność bajkowa. Słodkie.

(rated 12/07/2017: apparently the rating didn't come through). Bottle at home, bought @ Struise Beershop, Brugge. Pitch black, slim beige creamy head. Sweet, boozy and nicely roasted malty stout: big bodied, low carbonation, soft mouthfeel.

12 oz. bottle. Pours oily black and thick with a mocha thin film. Aroma has burnt malt little soy sauce and soft whiskey, caramel toffee. Taste is bitter sweet chocolate caramel toffee little coffee soy sauce some mild barrel flavors. Palate is thick syrup oily and warming, even though it’s very well balanced. Solid
