COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Phantasmagoria is an IPA that is low in malt flavors, but high in hops. We brew this beer as a nod to the big hoppy beers of the west coast. We use loads of citrusy and piney hops at the end of the boil and in the fermenter to make this beer a hop experience.

Tasted a while ago. Surprisingly hoppy (in a herby way) for an Imperial IPA. Not very sweet (abv is kind of low), citrus aroma rather pleasant. Good.

The aroma is full of malts, citrus, caramel, pine, lemon peel and orange zest. The color is pretty unappetizing, looks like a drain water. The taste is full of malts, citrus, caramel, lemon peel, orange zest and pine. Should have drunk this fresh as it’s very malt forward.

0.355l bottle from Carmine Street Beers. Smells nice this. Really tropical, sweetish and a little melon infused. Hoppy all the way, a little on the sweet peel sides. Hints of yeast, some malty sugar. Also orange and clementine peel. Smells quite nicely. In the glass it’s a clousy orsnge colored one, and it has a nice big old lasting and lacing white head. Like the taste also. It has a nice oily texture in the mouth and it’s just above average on the carbonation. Almost a little growing in the mouth. Bitter peely with traces of tea, grapes. Long citrussy tail that just goes on and on. Yeah, nice one. 23.06.2017

ganache (5856) - New Jersey, USA - JUN 13, 2017
Bottle from VE. Nose is big grapefruit, tangerine, dash of lychee, dash of musk, touch sugary. Pour murky light brown with some orange, head sudsy eggshell. Taste medium-strong bitter, dry, oily, big hop oil component, some resin, big caramel, subtle seep of alcohol warmth and a little dive into fusel territory (for me, not enough to spoil the soup). Dense layers citrus with sugar fruit unfold and dissolve (the overall impression is still one of dryness), expose more melon (cantaloupe for sure) and rind, mango, touch lotion, touch of multigrain bread. Spicy/musky, very densely concentrated bold flavor throughout. Full body and satisfying but not fat, remains readily drinkable. Worth it for the complexity, relatively smooth and dangerous for its size, though I’d imagine it benefits from Prairie hype. [2017.06.13: 3.4]

Bottle from ABV. Pours a hazy orange hue with a large white head, actually crept up a bit out of the bottle. A big tropical fruity orange nose. Light biscuit, big orange marmalade, lemons, some bitterness, very smooth. Lots of sweetness, round melon element.

Prairie’s DIPA, bottle from Biergenot. Egg-white, moussy head lacing in ’dots’, medium thick and stable, over a peach blonde beer with orangey tinge, lightly hazy at first and more misty with sediment. Expressive, very citrusy and delicate aroma of freshly squeezed orange juice, ripe mandarins, biscuit, lime zest, rambutan, ripe cantaloupe, lychee, tropical orchids, lightly toasted bread, guava. Vivid fruitiness in the onset, lots and lots of sweet tangerine ’citrusness’ as well as mango, lychee and passionfruit notes, soft carbo, slick and oily but ’full’ mouthfeel, biscuity malt sweetness accentuating the orangey sweet citrus character, developing into a very aromatic New World hop finish with retronasal tangerine, mango, guava, lychee, tropical flowers and just a vague pine accent, adequately but not harshly bittering in the mouth, followed by a hint of warming alcohol. Very citrusy, very aromatic and very well-balanced, this is a delicious example of the style. Prairie rarely disappoints.

Buy it for the fancy label! And that's it. Too strong for an IPA. Or DIPA...whatevs. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle 355ml @ Sommerhuset
Pours clear golden with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, citrus, alcohol, grapefruit and peach. Taste is medium sweet and medium bitter with a long warm, citrus, peachy and fruity finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Jasne, klarowne, niewysoka, ale dość drobnopęcherzykowa piana. Przyjemny, choć może niezbyt intensywny aromat słodów, karmelu, tropikalnych owoców, skórki pomarańczy, białe owoce również wyczuwalne, w smaku słody, karmel, lekko cytrusowe, goryczka niezawysoka, alkohol dobrze ukryty. Niezłe, bardzo pijalne, ale bez historii.
