Phantasmagoria is an IPA that is low in malt flavors, but high in hops. We brew this beer as a nod to the big hoppy beers of the west coast. We use loads of citrusy and piney hops at the end of the boil and in the fermenter to make this beer a hop experience.

Fules (1496) - Gyöngyös, HUNGARY - MAR 5, 2018
Kicsi, tartós, fehér hab, barnás árnyalatú narancssárga szín, szűretlen. Déligyümölcsös, citrushéjas, citrusos illat, némi ananásszal karöltve. Grapefruitos, ananászos, déligyümölcsös ízek, némi fenyős aromával. Lágy, közepesen testes, közepesen szénsavas, erősen keserű. Nagyon finom, jól eltalált sör.

Draught at Row 34, 9/29/17.
Gently hazy, maize-hay-golden body topped by a medium-sized, white head showing moderate retention.
Nose is full of pear, apple and caramel malt with pine and grapefruit coming on strong on the finish. Rather acidic and showing moderate oxidation. Guess this one is just a bit too old.
A shame, as it's heavily oxidized with old, leafy, bitter, soapy citrus and pine, yet the texture is incredibly soft and malty with good attenuation and still a breath of engaging carbonation. Caramel malt, bread and cardboard with more soap and pine bitterness on the finish. Will certainly try again.

28/XII/17 - 12 Fl. Oz. can @ 2nd post-Christmas Tasting (home) - BB: n/a, canned: n/a (2017-2255) Thanks to sebletitje for sharing the can!

Pretty cloudy orange beer, big creamy yellowish head, pretty stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: pretty fruity start, some citrus, resinous, bit malty, dank touch. MF: soft carbon, medium to full body. Taste: very sweet start, bit fruity, spicy, honey comb, some grapefruit, malty. Aftertaste: sweet and sugary, some caramel, honey, alcohol, sticky hops, little resinous, fruity touch in the finish.

355ml can bought at City Super in Habour City, Tsim Sha Tsui.

Looks: Clear golden colour with a fine mist of yeast particles; One finger head with crumpety white foam which last for 1 minute; Excellent sticky lacing with sparse slight carbonation.

Aroma: Fragrant Ale malt, with passion fruits, grapefruits, peaches, floral, fructose, spices, pine, strong bread, lime and grass.

Taste: Medium sweet Ale malt, with grapefruits, yellow fruits, floral, sugar, spices, strong pine, resins, herbs, dry biscuits, strong lime, mid to strong bitter hops and sharp grass.

Body: Medium body. Very slick and quite oozy palate.

Mouth Feel: Very good Ale maltyness in a thick and solid background. Strong piney hops dominates with grapefruits and yellow fruits. Flowery with fairly strong sweetness. Herbal oozy biscuity with strong lime to round. Good!

Hoppiness: Passion fruits, grapefruits, peaches, floral, spices, pine, lime and grass in nose. Grapefruits, yellow fruits, floral, spices, strong pine, resins, herbs, strong lime and grass in taste; Bitterness is strong for a lasting, close to high astringent sweet-bitter malty finish.

After Taste: Quite dry. Piney oozy and bitter to mouth.

Comments: This one's hops aroma isn't a standout, but the piney taste is one of the strongest I've had for DIPAs. It feels strong but in a right sort of way, no oozy sugary overdrive. Very sessionable for beginners. A solid one!

UPDATED: FEB 11, 2018 Pours golden honey with a thin white head. Intense tropical fruits, ripe peach and grapefruit on the nose which carries through to the taste albeit more subtle followed by pine and finishing with pepper.

Color is amber with a white head. Aroma is a mix of citrus, grapefruit, pine, caramel, and light tropical fruit. Given the medium body I found it to be very drinkable.

Beautiful pour, tinted gold-copper, massive frothy white head. Nose is tropical dank, mango but in typical prairie fashion there's something wild lurking with hints of yeast, spice and clove throughout. Oranges, toasted grain. Not a typical take on the style but very well done... Tons of balance and fun packed into 8%.

hershiser2 (3964) - Charlottesville, Virginia, USA - FEB 7, 2018
$3.75 can, Wine Warehouse. Pours slightly hazy golden with a large soft white head. Aroma is citrus peel, juice, floral hops. Flavor is orange and grapefruit peel, honey, pine, light grass. Thick.
