Shared at the Prairie Everything Dark/Kill Your Liver Extravaganza at Jeff’s House on July 1. 12 oz bottle. 2016 vintage. The pour is a nice light black with a thick ring of dark brown head and a lack of lace as it falls away. The aroma is heavy chocolate and rum barrels. There is a light vanilla and a great dark fruitiness to it. Holy lord. The flavor is just as good. The chocolate and rum balance beautifully with a nice vanilla add and a fruitiness that I am surprised with. This is like a rum soaked chocolate with just a touch of spiciness. The mouth feel is medium bodied with a soft carbonation and a lingeringly boozy and spicy chocolate rum. I’m a big fan. 9 4 9 4 17 willisread (3395) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - JUL 13, 2017
Bottle from Gambrinus. Pours a thick, viscous black with a tiny, tan head that dissipates quickly. Banana, coconut cream milk chocolate nose. Wow! Tropical chocolate. Creamy chocolate truffle on the palate with some caramel notes. Smooth and almost no alcohol perceived. A winner from prairie! ebone1988 (1971) - Dearborn, Michigan, USA - JUL 1, 2017

Taste is vanilla, roasted malt, rum, barrel, booze, nice. Mouthfeel is medium to heavy body, light carbonation, rum and vanilla roasted malt aftertaste. Overall, it’s pretty good. tom10101 (6146) - Quebec, CANADA - JUN 19, 2017
Bottle (12 oz), shared with JulienHuxley thanks! Pitch black with a small brown-beige head leaving little lacing. Aroma is intense with vanilla, roasted malts, rum spiciness, alcohol, chocolate and toffee/caramel. Taste is sweet but the loads of flavors balances it nicely with chocolate, vanilla, roasted malts, rum spiciness, toffee/caramel, alcohol and oak. Full body. Moderate carbonation. Thick mouthfeel. Roasted malts, vanilla and caramel finish. Good strong RIS where the rum spiciness blends really well with the thick and flavorful Prairie Pirate stout base. Black with a tan head. Dusty Wood aroma. Taste is Wood, chocolate, rum. Sweet, astringent. Not what I expect from Prairie. furthur (1203) - Eagle River, Alaska, USA - MAY 17, 2017
Bottle, black beer, skiff of walnut colored foam faded. Aroma is molasses, soy, cookies, malt, chocolate, coconut. Taste is dried plum, cherry, malt, molasses, chocolate, coconut. Palate is rich and smooth, carbonation subdued. alteregoo (1498) - Kalisz, POLAND - MAY 13, 2017

Bottle: Poured a deep black color stout with a medium size deep brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of deep sweet roasted malt notes with some chocolate and rum notes are also noticeable. Taste is a mix of sweet black chocolates with some rum notes and light oak notes are also noticeable. Body is full with nice oily texture and good carbonation with some arming alcohol notes. Another intense imperial stout from Prairie.
