"Taras Boulba" is a beer gifted by a Belgian to the world, the owner of Brasserie de la Senne brewery, Bernard Leboucq. Its original label depicts the strong Fleming punishing his son who dared to marry the Walloon woman. Now Bernard has arrived in Lviv and brewed his beer here, thus returning it to Ukraine.

Bottle 0.33l at Ratebeer Belgian Summer Gathering 2016 Evergem, Belgium. 03.09.2016. Thanks Klaas for hosting and RB guys for sharing today’s beers. Pour it hazy yellow color with small white head. Aroma lemon, some Belgian spice note. Taste has the same character as regular Taras Boulba, has that strange bitterness, probably different hops, interesting to try this, medium body, slick feel, fizzy, bitter.

Very Champenoise pearling to high snow-white head over pale lemonjuice-coloured beer. Lemon, coriander, pale malts. Dry-malty, faintly spice if not necessarily coriander. Well-carbonated, quite slick, spices as beefing. Light, but quite good! Txs to Eugene!
