(Préaris Blond (Saison)) Stubby bottle 330 ml at home, served into a tulip, ABV 6% Mostly clear body, bright golden in colour, with a tall and thick white head on top, with very good retention, leaving heavy lacing after it has collapsed. Aroma of citrus, some sugar, malts. Nice taste, very refreshing, citrus, light yeast, floral notes, fruity touches too. Good bitterness, with a long aftertaste. Medium thin body, good carbonation, mildly dry palate. Very good, tasty and refreshing, well made.

Bottle. Pours clear golden with airy but stable white head. Clear aroma of malt, with fruity, farty and estery notes. Bitter, hoppy flavour with notes of bread and yeast and malty touches. Hints of spice. Bitter and rough aftertaste. Quite bitter and non-fruity for the style but drinkable.

Alengrin (5156) - BELGIUM - DEC 1, 2015
Tasted in Ghent a few months ago but apparently forgot to enter it. Hazy golden beer under a creamy, off-white, lacing head; aroma of apple, grass, some peach, white bread; soft estery onset, smooth and quite crisp, gooseberry and peach fruitiness, soft bready pale malt sweetishness, lean body, medium dry finish with some herbal hop bitterishness. Very quaffable but another of those stereotypical Belgian blonde ales needlessly restyled as a saison for commercial reasons nowadays.

Bottle from Rehills, Newcastle. Hazy pale straw coloured with a huge white head of foam. It has a sharp citrus and herbal fruity flavour with earthy and slight barnyard notes followed malt and more citrus on the finish. Very good.

sayravai (4710) - Helsinki, FINLAND - JUN 20, 2015
([email protected] Panimobaari, sampled 2015-04-24) Clear golden with a medium, firm and lacy, quickly descending head. Very fruity nose with lime and herby hops. Fresh, pilsener-hoppy and quite bitter flavor with fruitiness in the background. Medium+ body, lowish CO2, slightly stingy bitter. Yeast softens the mouthfeel, but won’t affect the flavor much, or give more fruitiness. Too bitter-pilsenery for a saison, with a lack of fruitiness, but still an ok summer drink.

Vaiz (4460) - Den Haag, NETHERLANDS - MAR 11, 2014
Bottle at monthly 2nd Tuesday tasting at De Molen, hosted by dEnk. Clear golden pour, foamy white head. Aroma of hay, grainy pilsener. Flavor is better, slightly bitter and creamy with nice crispy hops. Smooth texture.
