UPDATED: OCT 30, 2017 Préaris @ Café Congé tasting event by the Gentse Biervereniging, Ghent (26 October 2017). With Anke. Cheers to Andy, Erwin & Tim!
Vintage 2015. Pours hazy dark brown with a small, off-white head. The aroma contains red fruits, cognac, liquor, wine, wood, some chocolate and caramel. It tastes medium fruity sweet and light bitter; a tad hoppy, some warming alcohol. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation. So alluring!

Unfortunately the carbonoxide was almost entirely gone, but the taste was amazing! Witloof from Adinkerke, Belgium

Draft at Julian’s. Pours brown with a white head. Leaves some lacing in the glass. Lots of cognac and wood on the nose. Dark fruit and booze on the tongue along with the wood. Finished clean. Tasty.

(draught, 2015) murky brown colour with a frothy dark beige head. aroma of chocolate raisins and heavy walnuts, with some notes of green apple, dark toffee and custard. flavour is mostly bran flakes and brown sugar, heavily earthy, with lots of milk chocolate, yeast slurry and a rather ethanolic finish. heavy-bodied with average carbonation.

Bottle from ??? - Color: clear dark brown beer with no carbonation and small white foam. Smell: cognac barrel aged, grapes and raisin with oak notes, sourness and woody notes. Taste: medium body with strong sourness, wood and fruity. Candied fruits, grapes. Plums. Cognac finish. Aftertaste: sourness, oak notes, woody and tart. Well balanced. Really tasty.

Piana drobna, nieduża, pozostaje w formie firanki. Barwa brązowo miedziana, mętna. Aromat delikatny, słodowo estrowo fenolowy (karmel, melasa, rodzynki, przyprawy), wpływ beczki w dalekim tle w postaci odrobiny tanin, drewna, koniaku. W smaku dość słodkie, aksamitne, oleiste, sporo rodzynek, daktyli, toffi, miodu, do tego orzechy, rozgrzewający likier, nieduża ziołowa goryczka. w posmaku namiastka wanilii i pumpernikla.

UPDATED: FEB 28, 2017 250 ml from tap at Antwaerps Bierhuyske. Served in flute. Nice dark brown colour. Fantastic aroma. Cognac. Cherry Liquor. Vermouth. Spices. Caramel. Not that malty though. Bittersweet taste. Soft carbonation. Thick oily texture. Full body. Long and intense finish. Great!

Bottle from Healthy Spirits. Pours medium brown with an attractive beige head and a fruity aroma. There is a full-bodied dark malt flavor with a satisfying cognac presence and warm alcohol trail. A great sipper.
