This dark chestnut beer brewed with Costa Rica coffee has an alcohol content of 10%.

The aroma is coffee, nuts and dark fruit. The first taste is sweet and then the coffee flavor comes up, further you can find the taste of caramel, vanilla and dark fruit. Aftertaste is slightly bitter with coffee beans and hops.

Originally this was a winter beer, but is due to popular demand this Prearis Quadrocinno will be available year round.

330ml bottle from LCBO - hope I like this one, I have another bottle of it. Quite a cloudy deep reddish-orange pour, lovely thick beige lasting head. Fairly sweet malt and alcohol on the nose - something spicy and "green" in there, I guess that's the chestnuts - has some ESB-like light bitterness about it; glad I am having this on a cold December day. Taste - yep, definitely like a hyper ESB - way more alcohol (quite ear-warming) and whatever the chestnuts are adding I like it. Average body, strong carbonation, a little floral/boozy in the finish; yes, quite happy to have an accidental second bottle of this in my fridge!

Foamy dark ruby. Aroma is raisin, booze, coffee. Have a sip and you get a lot of coffee. When its sits for a bit you get more of the dark fruits coming through, but not a lot. Doesn't have that wild funky complexity you expect for the style, except a bit in the boozy bitter finish. Mouthfeel is very bubbly and foamy, really distractingly so.

Bottle. Unclear orange brown body dense, lacing beige head. Aroma is fruity and spicy with caramel malt, some dry fruit and toast. Flavor is sweet with caramel, toast, dry fruit, some spices and hint of chocolate. Fine balanced body, good aftertaste. A tasty, sweet and smooth beer.

Got this one at SAQ if I'm not mistaken. I'm no longer sure how I ended up with it. Excellent taste, very smooth with a taste of dark coffee/expresso. Impressive.

Næsten dansk bryggeri, men ellers en øl med stor smag og alle de noter af chokolade osv der skal være i sådan en.

Honestly not that impressive of a quad. I like the addition of the Costa Rican coffee but I find it adds little to the beer overall. I'd rather drink Prearis Quadrupel to be honest. Pours a dark auburn and nutty looking brown with a light stream of carbonation and a big puffy tan head that simmers down with a classic quadrupel looking head. The nose is a little reminiscent of coffee, vanilla, dried fruit leathers, light spice notes. Mild nose overall. Nice taste profile overall with a rich fruit and malt base, toffee, caramel, molasses and dark fruit notes. Alcohol is barely noticeable and this beer is dangerous because of it. Nice rich brew with subtle coffee additions.

2014 edition, wonderful smooth. Coffee, dark caramel, in the end hops and bitterness. Very Nice! Witloof from Adinkerke, Belgium

pours unclear medium dark brown with a frothy and creamy belgian - duh - light beige head offering good retention and lacing. slightly earthy and spicy caramel, very peppery coffee beans, integrated though; strong peppers, although never vegetal; peppery and piney alcohol, bitter coffee with a touch of grain acidity, some sweetness - charred candi. bright and almost foamy carbonation, medium body - oily; sweetish woodsy-earthy-coffee finish. very nice belgian attributes, complex charred/toffee with depth with integrated coffee.
