UPDATED: FEB 15, 2018 Colour somewhere between Belgian ale and a Stout.
Taste is mostly Belgian ale with some dark fruits , though elements of a brown ale - nuttiness and slight bitterness.
Coffee flavour is minimal, disappointing.
Sugary sweetness on the nose. julesxxl (532) - Cholet, FRANCE - FEB 14, 2018

Medium brown, with a bubbly head. On the nose, there’s some fruitiness, and some sweeter toffee notes. A bit of carbonation for the style. There’s some raisiny notes, maybe a touch of chocolate. Not actually much complexity, though…clearly the coffee comes through, and it’s still otherwise a sweetish, relatively bland strong ale. From a 375 m bottle. Pours a hazy dark mahogany with a big tan head. Aromas of coffee, toffee and caramel. Flavors are sweet caramel and coffee cake. Very drinkable for such a big beer. beerplace (2394) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JAN 20, 2018
330ml bottle from at Alex's. Pours a hazy brown with a tan head. Aroma is a bit strange with fruity and oxidized notes. Sinilar taste with coffee notes. It is very harsh, sweet and very bitter at the same time. Not good. Listigovers (1384) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 12, 2018
UPDATED: JAN 13, 2018 Kind of a more fruity taste up front than I expected, looks brown with a long lasting tan head, laces the glass. Smells malty, a bit soapy, some coffee of course. Really smooth palate, some caramel flavour, slightly sweet, dark malts develop well over time, some faint trace of hop oils. Full bodied but not as heavy as an imperial stout or anything, quite a satisfying concoction!
