COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This dark chestnut beer brewed with Costa Rica coffee has an alcohol content of 10%.

The aroma is coffee, nuts and dark fruit. The first taste is sweet and then the coffee flavor comes up, further you can find the taste of caramel, vanilla and dark fruit. Aftertaste is slightly bitter with coffee beans and hops.

Originally this was a winter beer, but is due to popular demand this Prearis Quadrocinno will be available year round.

Got this one at SAQ if I'm not mistaken. I'm no longer sure how I ended up with it. Excellent taste, very smooth with a taste of dark coffee/expresso. Impressive.

Næsten dansk bryggeri, men ellers en øl med stor smag og alle de noter af chokolade osv der skal være i sådan en.

Honestly not that impressive of a quad. I like the addition of the Costa Rican coffee but I find it adds little to the beer overall. I'd rather drink Prearis Quadrupel to be honest. Pours a dark auburn and nutty looking brown with a light stream of carbonation and a big puffy tan head that simmers down with a classic quadrupel looking head. The nose is a little reminiscent of coffee, vanilla, dried fruit leathers, light spice notes. Mild nose overall. Nice taste profile overall with a rich fruit and malt base, toffee, caramel, molasses and dark fruit notes. Alcohol is barely noticeable and this beer is dangerous because of it. Nice rich brew with subtle coffee additions.

pours unclear medium dark brown with a frothy and creamy belgian - duh - light beige head offering good retention and lacing. slightly earthy and spicy caramel, very peppery coffee beans, integrated though; strong peppers, although never vegetal; peppery and piney alcohol, bitter coffee with a touch of grain acidity, some sweetness - charred candi. bright and almost foamy carbonation, medium body - oily; sweetish woodsy-earthy-coffee finish. very nice belgian attributes, complex charred/toffee with depth with integrated coffee.

04-09-2017; bottle; at home (bought online at www.drankgigant.nl, Oost-Souburg, The Netherlands). The looks of the beer are nice. The beer has a dark brown color. It is very cloudy. On top of the beer a nice layer of soft slightly off-white foam is formed. Foam retention is average. After a while hardly any drape is left. The smell of the beer is nice. There are some sweet malts, clear Belgian abbey beer yeast, some red fruits and plum. This is all covered by a lovely strong aroma of fresh coffee. I love it. The coffee gives the beer a nice bitterness, but also a touch of sweetness. There are some refreshing slightly acidic hops aswel. I like it. The taste of the beer is also nice. The coffee is very prominent. It gives a strong bitterness, and also some sweet hints. Besides the strong coffee there is sweet malty touch and also some bitter hops. Not bad, but maybe just a bit to much coffee. Brings it just out of balance. The palate of the beer is fine. Medium full body, slightly sticky texture and medium high carbonation. The finish of the beer isn't extremely long. It has some nice bitter coffee touches though. All in all, nice beer, but there could be some more balance.
