Donkerbruin bier met weinig schuim. Smaak is krachtig, bitter hoppig en licht zoet met iets van toffee en caramel met licht vanille smaak. Gewoon goed! ChtiBreizh (456) - Rennes, FRANCE - JAN 11, 2016
33cl bottle. Pours hazy but transparent brown. Toasted grains, caramel, light toffee. Medium to low sweetness, with a dry and bitter finish, only very lightly sour. but very boozy. Balanced but aromas not shining through considering the abv. kaser (6312) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JAN 8, 2016
Black pour from draft at Side Door. Fruits, raisin, earthy, leather, cocoa hints. Boozy but good. I like. Wouldn't want more than 1 in a sitting txspartan (1080) - Berchem, BELGIUM - JAN 7, 2016
Oak, coffee and dark chocolate aromas. Head lasts a while. Bittersweet coffee flavours with a powdery texture. Some sourness. obxdude10 (2324) - Pottstown, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 28, 2015
Very dark brown pour with a big tan head. The lacing was full and thick and stuck to the glass very nicely, especially as the beer warmed. The nose was full of toffee, caramel, rye, yeast and light cream. The body was full and thick as well. This quad definitely demands to be sipped. The flavors were fairly sweet with lots of yeast, rye, light cream, a light milk chocolate hint, caramel, very light but floral hops and some candi sugar.

Medium aroma of malts, caramel, Belgian yeast, dark fruit and roasted malts.
Turbid/opaque ruby/dark brown beer with heavy yeast and with a slight/medium beige head.
Starts medium sweet with malts, caramel, Belgian yeast and dark fruit; ends slightly bitter and dry with roasted malts.
This beer is intense, complex and balanced. Amazing to see a dark Belgian beer, with a rather sweet character, with a hefty amount of roasted malts at the same time. Great appearance and palate as well, but the aroma could have been stronger.
Draft at Lizardville. Pours a muddy brown with small tan head. Aroma is biscuit, spices, caramel, toffee, Belgian yeasts. The taste is dark breads, caramel, toffee, with a hint of cloves and other spices. Not sweet, rather dry finish. Not a heavy, sticky quad. Not boozy. Very nicely done.
Bottle, 10%. Vinous aroma, bready with a hint of yeast and spicy hops. Cloudy light brown colour. Small stable tan head. The flavour is spicy, reminding me of spicy rum. Dark sugar notes, but not sweet. Late roasted notes. Vinous finish. Milk chocolate or perhaps Nesquick powder. High bitterness. Bamsen78 (5403) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - NOV 2, 2015
Bottle. Pours hazy darkish ruby / copper brown with airy but stable beige head. Clear aroma of malt, chocolate and coffee, with notes of yeast and alcohol and some dried fruit. Bitter, hoppy and slightly roasty flavour with sweetish notes of caramel malt and touches of dark chocolate, coffee and fruit. Bitterish, roasty aftertaste with coffeelike notes. Warming alcohol presence. A nice one although a trifle watery.
