of Karen. Brown amber. Huge head. Toffee cookie caramel yeasty notes. Spicy herbal flavours. Timian oregano. Dry sharp. Some bitter finish. Very complex flavours. Strong brew with pronounced alcoholic mouthfeel. Love it even in this late Night senario.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle - Dark sugars, dates and light cocoa notes. Deep dark cloudy brown with a cascading beige head. Light cocoa, spice, dark fruit and some light spice notes with a bit of bitterness in the finish. A rich nice beer, but cocoa and spice overwhelm the dark fruit.

330ml bottle pours a amber brown color with a finger and a half of light brown head that leaves some decent lacing on the glass. Aroma is dark fruits and grains with some citrus. Taste is a dark fruit and malty sweetness with a citrus hop bitterness finishing with some earthy tones. Medium bodied with mild carbonation. Overall, this brew suits the style well and I recommend it to others.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
750ml bottle, shared with jstax. Bottled on 09/07/14. Hazy amber brown red color. Nice thin off-white head, leaves good thicker lace. Medium to bigger body. Smooth, kind of soft, lighter carbonation. Light slick texture, more dry finish. Dark fruit, toasty malt, some spiciness. Bit of dark chocolate. Moderate sweet taste, lighter bitter. Slightly astringent. Satisfying overall, decent to share, but as far as the style goes, an alright quad. Bit of a spicy bite to it. Weird lingering bitterness. Definitely couldn’t have finished this bottle on my own if I wanted to. Spicy bite on the end; astringency would have done me in.

Bottle at home.High creamy long lasting off-white head. Hazy dark orange brown body. Sour berries wineous roasted malt caramel aroma with hints of the alcohol. Astonishingly sweet cocoa caramel flavor with little hops bitterness, low carbonation and a long sweet finish Alcohol far from being as dominant as feared.
