appearance: medium cola brown, thin but creamy light beige head. taste: raisin, candi sugar, light toffee, hint of boozy vanilla. finish: malty notes of course most prominent, with raisin, plum, and brown sugar over the toast. finish: smooth, lighter than expected, just enough carb to clean things up. notes: Not as sweet as expected, with the alcohol amazingly well-hidden. Palate drank like a light dubbel, flavors were complex closer to the abt. Great beer. Bottle from the Rare Beer Club.

Cloudy iced tea brown color. Nice sweet sugary aroma. Deep sugary brown malts. Somewhat bready, not nearly as sweet as the aroma suggests. Nice quad, will come back to it.

Really get the darker fruit flavors. For a 10%, incredibly approachable. Fantastic combination and balance. Reviewed - A Brew With You, Ep. 52

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a dark opaque brown with a small off-white head and an aroma of citrus, overripe fruits, lums, toffee, brown sugar and syrup. the taste is heavy sweet with a medium body and a low carbonation. pretty ok, but nothing special

UPDATED: APR 25, 2017 Multiple serving versions on tap at Zythos festivals, including the Lapsang Souchong version.Hazy brown color with small head. Base aroma has coffee, brown sugar, and the regular quad aromas you expect, enhanced by a lot of smoked tea leafs for the Lapsang Souchong serving. Taste reflects the aroma quite well in both cases and there is always a nice balance to it. The carbonation is medium.

I probably like the Lapsang Souchong version better, but both have their benefits!

Quadrupel molto buona, con sentori classici dello stile: caramello, leggero liquoroso, frutta secca, prugna... In più finisce con un leggero amarognolo che secondo me stona un po'. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

33cl bottle purchased @ La caisse de bière. Arôme très chocolat. Belle rondeur.

The smell of chocolate, malty, a little bit sweet. The small white creamy head has a normal duration, the body is dark red to brown. A strong malty taste, a lot of chocolate. The body is medium strong, creamy and lively with a lot of carbonation.

Bottle. Very hazy/cloudy dark brown with a lively tan head that reduces to a thick nouget and leaves creamy lace. Aroma has lots of chocolate and dark fruits with alcoholic fumes. The palate delivers nice complexity, with the chocolate taking a back seat to dates and raisins, pumpernickel, spices, and cork. The finish is dry. The booziness is very restrained on the palate, making this an approachable and very drinkable quad. Really delicious.

Bottled 330ml. -Courtesy of and shared with Marko, thanks. Red/brown coloured, big creamy beige head, spices and alcohol in the nose. Sweet malty, caramel, fruity and yeasty with notes of brown sugar and alcohol. Alcohol quite noticable and pretty strong notes of pear. Too sweet overall.
