Can. Bought Mar 2017; BB May 2017; Drank Apr 2017 - Dark Red Brown in colour. Average foamy tan head. Chocolate aroma. Very Malty; lots of dark chocolate, chocolate syrup, toasty malts, caramel, coffee, vanilla. Some dark fruit notes. Moderate balancing hop bitterness. Sweet very chocolate malty throughout, but not as sweet as I feared. Interesting chocolate porter, but it has a rather artificial tasting lasting syrupy chocolate finish. Not for me. (2017-04)

12 oz single can shared, purchased at Total Wine & More - Gilbert, AZ. Black appearance with a tan head. Aroma of dark chocolate and light roasted malts. Similar flavor, rich and malty with a lingering chocolate finish. Smooth, creamy feel. Nice.

Pours dark brown to black with tan head dissapates quickly leaving nice lacing. Huge aroma of brownies in the oven! Wow. Roasting dark bread flavors some chocolate sweetness and a bready finish. Really interesting. I really like this.

On tap at Prescott, pours a red-tinged deep dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma brings out rich dark chocolate, like it’s been melted into this and then scaled back in intensity a bit. Flavour brings out lots of cocoa powder and bittersweet chocolate. Nice fun chocolate beer, but a little sweet for me. Solid.
